Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

I thought I would start a December exercise challenge thread -- until Band Chick is able to put a new one up.

Good luck and Happy Holidays to all!!!

Today I didn't do squat. Does that count?

But did you at least squat doing it?? LOL

I posted my complete lack of exercise today as an NSV.....because unlike the past, I REALLY wanted to exercise, I just didn't have time for it!

I've revised my challenge goals for December -- watch my siggie and kick my butt if you see me slacking, 'kay?

Day 1 down. I had to cancel my gym membership for financial reasons, but I got some weights and an exercise ball, so now I am good to go at home. My arms are so tired, it almost hurts to type!

Well yesterday was my day to not do squat, but I am back at it today.

I will be traveling for the next few days and am hoping that I will find someplace other than hotel gyms (which are just SO boring) for my workouts.

Have a great week everyone!

weight lifting with my son and 30 minutes on the treadmill. He has agreed to be my workout buddy. I wonder how much that will cost me!!

LadyBug - How is the fill working? I wish I had a workout buddy. My BF is not so much into the exercise thing. He said he did enough for a lifetime when he was in the military.

Day 3 done last night. I was too tired to post afterwards. I could barely lift my arms up.

I took a few days off from walking, unless you count hours of Christmas shopping and decorating the house and yard! Back to formal walking for exercise today - 40 minutes.

Salsa,

The fill is great. What a difference! I ate a bit too quick today and got a terrible pain but it subsided pretty quickly. I can just about stick to 3 small meals a day and my Protein in between. I am hoping my son sticks with the exercise. It helps me because I don't want to disappoint him.

Isn't accountability amazing! I am actually looking forward to going home and working out tonight. Not sure if it is because I am starting to like exercise or if it just means that I won't be at work. Either way I will milk it for all it is worth. Will check back in after the workout to post!

30 minutes treadmill....125 crunches on the AB Lounger and a bit of boxing (that was fun....saw it on the Biggest Loser). If this continues Son #2 will get something very special for Christmas. ;);) :clap2:

I can only hope to get to the point where I want to work out. I am not weighing myself everyday because my weight fluctuates too much. Once a week will do it for me. I can feel a difference so hopefully the scale will show a difference. Since I turned 45 this year the weight is hard to drop.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
