Hi! My surgery date is September 9th. I'm so happy to be a part of one of these threads now! I'd love to have some surgery buddies too. ?

  • September 16th for me. Less than a month away now.

  • Sept 9 for me and Sept 23 for my husband! We are super excited to take this journey as we have tried everything you can think of over the past 10 years together. We have over 300lbs combined to loose

The weight loss is slow but it's not going up, so i'm okay with it. I lost 2 pounds last week. I am trying to walk outside a few days a week but I am still get tired very easy. I hope that goes away soon.

I like that you said that because my weight loss has been really slow too it seems like I’m losing between 0.5 to 2 pounds a week. But it’s encouraging to hear you say “at least its not going up’ so hurray to that! You sound like you’re doing great, keep it up!

I had revision from sleeve to bypass due to severe GERD (with minimal weight loss due to maladaptive eating developed as a result of the GERD) on 9/18. I am thrilled to say that I woke up from bypass with zero GERD symptoms and have continued to have zero symptoms since surgery!

My Surgery was September1,2020 I had a revision due to severe Gerd went from a Sleeve to bypass and I'm doing fine haven't had any problems thank God it I'm learning what foods I can digest well with it bothering my stomach apples done digest to well for me but maybe later but in all it's going great SW 215.4 CW 188.0 Good luch to all of my new September surgery buddies[emoji7]

Today I got the all clear to move up to soft foods! I had chicken salad and I've never been happier to have something so plain ? I've been allowed to have eggs this whole time, but they never settled well with me, even prior to surgery. So finally getting to have semi normal food is amazing. Definitely don't know what you've got til it's gone ?

Pookyl, very well done and congratulations.

Glad everything went well with you.

I was the same with the liquids as I always tend to wolf it down as quickly as possible.

They started me with a 30ml medicine cup for the 1st couple of days.

Now I'm sipping regularly throughout the days along with some pureed foods.

To be honest these are small prices to pay for the fact that everytime i step on the scales the number goes down. Its absolutely amazing that I don't feel hungry at all. I think I will need to take extra care in future so that I don't become anorexic. Lol

Try to rest as much and as often as you feel like now that you are back home.

Well done once again

In the first few weeks did you feel like your stomache was able to hold more than it should? I'm post op week 2. I have no trouble drinking lots of fluid. Had some cream of wheat and realized I had eaten 2/3 of a cup and felt like I had room for more, but I stopped. Scares me a bit because I don't want to be able to over eat.

Scares me a bit because I don't want to be able to over

Completely agree! I'm allowed half a cup and after, I'm still hungry!

Hello everyone¡ my surgery was on sep 2, 2020 and i’ve been hungry all the time eating constantly so today I ate like almost 800 cal. I don’t know I feel like so sad about it because I sees other people like eating less and I don’t know it’s frustrating plus, Im in moving process and that’s a stress me out and this weather is cold and I don’t know and it’s making me more hungry with these cold weather. I wanna know if there a number of people to like it’s struggling with this diet thing. Oh now I’m chilling like less than before and that’s the other thing that I’m frustrated about it.
