Question for everyone that has had there surgery. Do any of you have numbness in the center of your stomach. I have a line in the center of my abdomen that is about four inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide that is like numb it feels like you know when you get dental work done and they numb you and that feeling in your check that’s what it feels like. Does anyone else have this or am I strange.

I got a call from my surgeon's office today saying they have to reschedule. ☹️

Fortunately it's only a one-week postponement (to July 30), but that means I have three weeks of pre-op diet. I'm so hungry right now. I really just want to tear into a plate of carbs. I'm not even that picky, pretty much any carbs would do. 🍟🍞🥨🍟🥞🥧🍩🍟🍪🍰🍟

I had my VSG on 7/2/2020. Walk as much as you can post op. It will help with the gas pain. It was hard to get in my fluids the first 5 days but then I turned a corner and it became much easier. I'm drinking my 64 ounces of Water each day without any difficulty. Try to be as optimistic as possible. The pain and discomforts you have early on are only for a short time. Each day you should feel stronger and will be one day closer to a healthier you. Best of luck.

I was sleeved on July 16, and my recovery is going pretty well. The biggest issue is fatigue. I take 2-3 naps per day, in addition to sleeping the night through. It's easy for me to keep hydrated, and Protein Shakes go down easy. If I could just have a little more energy! I'm praying for all of us July sleevers, may God help us through this journey to become more healthy.

My surgery was July 1st. I am down approx. 30lbs. It’s been different. I had an allergic reaction to my Vitamins, but other than that, adjusting well. I am at the puréed stage and that has been a huge relief! I am ready for a real meal though! Hope everyone is doing well and are having success!

Congratulations!! I was sleeved on July 8th and down 24lbs. You made my day by sharing how much you lost and giving me hope:) The Vitamins make me gag but I get them down. I agree this is different. I am in purée stage too . Getting a little tired is ground chicken and eggs but it is worth it! Please share any good recipes !

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
