Pain on right side of stomach

Good afternoon everyone,

I had my surgery on 3/11/20 and been with sharp pain on incession on the right where stomach was taken out. How long will it take for pain to leave. Anyone please??

    I had the same thing. It hurt for 3 weeks and then during the 4th week I think I did too much bending and it hurt like hell for another week and a half. I'm almost 6 weeks out and i no longer have any

Thanks a billion for information. The bending doesn't help. Glad to know I'm not alone.

I had a mini bypass March 16th and have only just been able to lie down on my right side. I prop myself up on a pillow to make it comfortable.

The pain relief helps but the bruising i had was pretty bad so that made sleep awkward.

I’m about 5 weeks post op (3/3) and I still feel a pinch every now and then on the right side incision when I bend or overexert myself, but it definitely got better in the last week or so.
