Well after being denied and appealing the surgery and waiting 7 weeks for a surgery date which is 3/18, I believe they are canceling my revision due to the virus. Because it’s elective.

I hope I’m wrong. I am in so much pain from the heartburn. I’ve been on a liquid diet for 2 weeks.

I’m so upset.

I’m so sorry. I hope that’s not the case. I mean, you’re so close!

Thanks. I’m just disappointed etc. I’ll be fine. The heartburn ick for another few weeks... until all the bans are lifted.
I don’t wish the virus though on anyone.

I’m scheduled for the 18th as well and have been suffering with horrible heartburn all week making it hard to walk at all. Worse when I stand up. I’m so scared that I will be cancelled as well. My only hope is there are no current cases in my area.

Yes. We have a bunch In Ny today and schools closed for 2 weeks.
I can’t take the heartburn. I know people are sick. I just can’t.

Me as well and from what I'm hearing now, we may be on total lockdown within days, not 1-2 weeks. I will be calling the Bariatric office tomorrow.

I requested late April and was just given a date this morning of 4/20/2020. However even with a date over 4 weeks from now I was still told that date may change pending any negative info on COVID-19 for my immediate area, keeping fingers crossed...

Good luck to you.
My hospital has “no elective surgeries till 4/15”. This was the first avail date.
I am disappointed but understand. My son gets married beginning of June so I wanted it all over lmao

maybe they’ll lift the ban here. Unsure.

Good luck to all of you guys! I know it sucks, and hopefully this will dissipate quickly so that life can get back to normal and not many more people suffer.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
