this is my very first EVER post on ANY forum. I am planning VSG for this June and am in the process of researching options in Mexico. I like what I’m finding on Dr. Illan but I’m confused about which hospital he works out of. Oasis of Hope, Bariatric Pal Team MX, or Hospital BC?? Also, I read that he doesn’t include hernia repair in the package price. I believe other doctors do include it. Anyone know how much that costs in addition to the $5000 vsg package?

Hi Amnunez,

Dr. Illan no longer performs surgeries at Oasis of Hope.

He now performs all his surgeries at Hospital BC where he is the Medical Director.

The Gastric Sleeve package starts at $4900 USD, for a BMI of 48 or lower. There is an additional charge of $500.00 USD for hernia repair.
