Has anyone tried microneedling treatment on loose skin? Did it help?

I have looked into it. Any results would be subtle. It might tighten up your neck or face, might. But no chance of it helping arms or stomach etc

A friend had it done on her face to reduce the fine lines & loose skin post her weight loss. She said there’s been no difference. It’s supposed to stimulate collagen but takes a couple of weeks for the results to show. She had it done months ago.

I’m doing RF on my face. Stimulates collagen growth too & also like needling not long term solution. The deep marionette line on my left side has become softer but the right side hasn’t changed. I’ve completed about 10 treatments (my beautician had a special going 6 treatments for price of 5) but I had hoped for better results. 😩

Considering laser lift but have to explore further.

Well, I think it all depends on which area of the skin you are going to perform this procedure. My mom is a cosmetologist and when she wanted to learn a new level of cosmetology and went to college, she told me much more about this procedure and many others. In fact, the effect of this procedure on your skin depends on the composition of your skin, your age and many other facts. As far as I know, even the state of the microflora of your intestine matters because healthy skin directly depends on the intestine. If you want the procedure to be successful, do a check-up of the body and eat food that is good for the intestine, then you will definitely be satisfied with the result.

Further to my post a while ago, I had my first micro needling session about a month ago but I had derma pen which is deeper & more precise. My reaction lasted about four days instead of the usual 1-2 days of redness. I spoke to my cosmetic physician & she’s going to do subsequent sessions more lightly as my skin is more sensitive. I’m expecting to have 4 sessions in total six weeks apart. It takes about three months for your skin to go through a renewal cycle & therefore to see any results. I decided to try it because of my cystic acne scaring & open pores. If it helps with loose skin that would be a bonus. My doctor also recommends a maintenance session every year.

This pxt is about 6 hours after it was done. It was more rash like in the following days & no makeup didn’t cover the rashy blotchiness.

I agree with what others have said. My plastic surgeon did pulsed dye laser treatment for my scars after my thigh and arm lifts. We talked about microneedling but honestly, I don't know its effectiveness for improving skin laxity. I have had a standard microneedling treatment done by my dermatologist for acne scarring, but for me, I personally saw better results with the laser treatments. :)

Shallow microneedling would be a waste of time and money. To have any effect on scars, elasticity and collagen stimulation requires a minimum depth of 1.5 mm (for thin skin, example: inner arms) to 2.5 mm. (thicker skin, example: stomach & thighs). At a depth of1.5 mm to 2.5 mm, I highly recommend a pharmaceutical grade numbing cream. Dr Pen is superior to Derma rollers. Not only do genetics and age determined the skin's ability to "shrink" but also how long you have been overweight. Microneedling has the best results on crepey skin rather than excess skin.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
