DS surgery date set for November 18, 2019 but insurance denied me

Did my classes, scheduled a date (I'm a teacher, doc said he deeply appreciated teachers and military and wanted to book around my schedule).

But then I was denied by my insurance. I'm guessing my employer plan doesn't cover it. I'm hoping my surgeon can appeal on my behalf. I have a BMI in the mid 40's with comorbidities.

I'm excited, and nervous. My school is going to let me take almost 2.5 months off to recover and figure out my new lifestyle.

Hoping the best for you. The surgeon's appeal can pull a lot of strings.

Thanks, I sure hope so! With my background working in other industries, I'm privileged enough to be able to pay cash if I need to, but obviously I'd prefer not to!
