Hey everyone. I am exactly 4 weeks post op today. I wanted to ask if anyone else felt a strange “ache” on their stomachs, more on the sides. Almost like stretching pain or like you were holding your arms up for a long time.

just wondering what it could be.

thank you

Hey! Glad you’re doing well. Ive gone to my two week and my next apt isn’t until Jan. It’s not a concerning or consistent ache. Just weird. It could also be the lack of movement or me sleeping incorrectly since I still can’t sleep on my stomach.

just started “regular food” as of this week. Still can’t eat much so i would say I’m still following the plan, for the most part.

@Heather246… Heyyyy ! what's up ? How you doing ? Haven't heard from you.

I'm doing pretty well! I can't believe I'll be 3 weeks post op tomorrow, time Sure does fly by. I'm down to 222 lbs, right at 25 lbs. My clothes already feel so much better and I can wear my rings again, so there is my non-scale victory. How are you doing? How's your weight loss going?

Today is my 1-month surgiversary. Time has flown. I'm down 17 pounds since surgery - slow and steady. So far I'm meeting my nutritional requirements and foods have been agreeing with me. I'm on the soft food phase. I am noticeably thinner, and down 51 pounds since the summer. I have been having fun shopping in my closet and recently unpacked my smaller sized clothes so they will be ready this year. My next goal will be to do more exercise and develop that habit. I'm also hoping that it will help me get over feeling so fatigued. I'm so excited for this journey!

I'm going closet shopping this weekend to hopefully find something to wear Christmas Eve to church. I'm down to 220.0 and I'm 3 weeks and 3 days post op. Starting weight 246 lbs, surgery weight 237 lbs... Total loss since surgery is also 17 lbs. I've been sticking to Keto diet and have really been craving carbs lately. I'm wondering if anyone else did or is doing keto diet post op and if so, what happens to the weight loss if you go back to a regular diet?

Hey Unclechaz just left my six week also .. How are you doing?
Thank G-d, all is well. My 6-week labs showed my Iron is pretty low which may help explain why I've been feeling so weak. Made some adjustments and going to recheck blood in 8 weeks. Other than that, doing well on Water intake, averaging about 60 grams of Protein, and about 450 calories per day. Monday will be 7 weeks. Down about 35 since surgery.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
