Has your shoe size gone down? 100+ pounds gone

Recommended Posts

Do any of you wear a shoe size smaller than what you did before surgery or at the start of your weight loss journey? I'm a size 10 right now, I'm hoping that after surgery, and I lose all my weight (130-150lbs - which is a strict goal of mine) that I will drop a shoe size to 9 or 8.5. Was wondering if this is possible, I am 5'7, and feel like size 10 W is not feminine for a woman :P Hoping to get down to a more normal size feet wise. Would like to hear your stories.. thanks

Still pre-op... but last time I lost a lot of weight my shoe size went down a whole size. Definitely possible.

When I young and thin I wore a 9. I was an 11 pre-op and now a 10. I'm hoping to get back to 9. So, yes you do lose weight in your feet.

Yes. Before the weight gain I was a size 7. I went up to 8 1/2 - 9 . I’m 7 months post op and I’m in 7 1/2-8 now. It will go down.

I only went down a half size after losing about 30 pounds but a lot of flats and even a pair of flip flops were too big. I guess loosing that fat pad on the top of my foot or around my ankle was enough that I had to donate a few pairs. I also had to adjust the strap on sandals to a notch tighter.

I've lost 31lbs so far and my narrow shoes fit better so I can tell I've lost in my feet lol.

I FINALLY GOT TO WEAR THE COWBOY BOOTS I've HAD HIDING IN MY CLOSET BECAUSE THE FOOT WAS TOO TIGHT. MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM NOW AFTER 85 LBS.

My size has stayed the same but I can wear normal width shoes and more adventurous styles now. :) With that said I would add that what is a feminine foot size is totally relative! Self-acceptance and the confidence that comes with it is much more sexy than the difference between a 9 and 10 shoe.

I've lost 94# so far and my shoe size has gone from a 10 to a 9.5...not a big difference, but I can feel the new looseness. Even the padding on my toes and sole are gone.

One exciting thing is that my legs, especially calves, are so thin now that for the first time in decades I can wear stylish knee-high boots!! Previously my calves were too large to zip a boot up, but now I can also zip them over a pair of pants. So happy! This surgery has made even the small things in life such a joy! 😊

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
