  4. This thread is why I don't frequent this board much. I am 10months post up and am at my goal weight. All my labs are perfect and I work out 5-7 times a week. Oh and I also do recreational drugs on occasion. Try and remember that not everyone is you and every situation is different. Doctors and surgeons are people and give what they consider best practices but are not gods. Not every one is an addict, I've had this success because because I worked the program into my lifestyle and didn't make the surgery my religion.

  7. I went through the Kaiser classes 3 times, first time over 13 years ago, lost 80 lbs during the class, which was 6 months then, and decided against the surgery. The second time lost a lot of weight and chickened out because of my relationship with food. Finally had the surgery this April and went from 332 to 205 and still going down. My life has not been this good in decades. And the worry of my relationship with was for nothing, I very happy with the food I eat and down have cravings. Science proves that we can't do this on our own and keep it off.

  9. Used a spray instead of the liquid Vicotin that gave me, will use occasionally recreationally as well with no longer getting the munchies. Way ahead of schedule weight loss and all labs are excellent. Your mileage may vary.

  12. The best part of the surgery, wife loves the loss and the gain;). I have more energy and desire. It also probably has to do with my overall improved health. No diabetes, high blood pressure, or sleep apnea.
  13. I just reached 100lbs weight loss and I went from a 9.5 4E to 9 2E, all my shoes are now loose.

  17. I just hit my 5-month mark and stalled for almost two weeks. Keep following the plan didn't look at the scale for a week. Noticed yesterday that I'd lost 7 pounds last week. So as everyone else says to follow the plan the weight will come off. Look for now weight wins. Went from 36 down to 34 without any weight loss.

  20. I'm 3.5 months post-surgery and really sticking with my diet and have had amazing success with weight loss. I have found sticking to the same foods and times to work for me. The problem is that my wife and son have started to complain that I have messed up their meals and meal planning. They want me to go out to eat with them and either share something or just sit there with them. I have no interest in doing this, as what I doing is working for me. Are there meals that you prepare that can be shared with family and stay our your post-op diet?
  21. No longer diabetic, off blood pressure meds, and sleep apnea is gone.
  22. I'm a weekend user of a THC spray, not smoking. I find that since my sleeve no more munchies.
  23. Just a week shy of 3 months and down 75lbs since the start of my pre-op diet. Had my 3 months follow up and Dr. was really pleased with the results. Better still is not taking insulin, blood pressure or using a CPAP anymore.
  24. Just got back from my 3 months follow up and my doctor said he trusts the home scales more than hospital ones. But as was noted before using the same scale will measure your losses accurately even if the actual weight is off a little.
  25. Surgery is 4/22 down 25lbs but noticed a slow down the last few days. Getting my Protein in but only eating around 550 cal a day.
  26. Fist day of phase two, what’s portion size for soup 4 or 8 oz?
  27. Got my sleeve Monday, first day of stage 2.
