The weight rebound of 5-10 pounds-where does it go?

I’m curious from what I’ve read once you get down past your goal you typically rebound up 5 to 10 pounds or 5 to 10%. Where does that weight settle at? Did it go back to your hips, stomach, chest everywhere?

My Surgeon said a 5 to 20-pound bounce after goal may happen. I had a gain my third year. I could have stayed at a higher weight; I decided to work it back down.

A ten-pound gain goes to my mid-section but I can still wear the same size clothing.
