Friday date night.

I am really hating how poochy my tummy flap is these days. :( Nothin to be done about it cept learn to love and accept myself or wear a different style. I was 130lbs here.

Honestly if I’m lucky enough to drop another size, my tummy pooch will look just like that.
Right now is still semi-disguised in clothes bc I still am carrying more weight around my hips/lower abs, but with no clothes on it’s very noticeable

Client site today, not looking forward to braving the roads to get there though...the roads are SLICK.

As an aside, I haven't really lost any significant weight lately but I am finding that some of my clothes are looking big-ish on me, no?. Picture below case in point. Even my beloved boots are looking droopy....

Solution: more SHOPPING.

Ok I can usually find my size these days med is common enough and I'll even take a large or small depending on cut

BUT it seems like Targét has way more plus sized clothes/bigger fitting clothes than before.

Normally I would say finally but where the world was this vanity sizing 4 yrs ago when I was buying very costly clothing elswhere? Hmm? Whatever.

A dress I really wanted but couldn't get because the sizes were off (I choose to believe its not my body 😂) Its too loose & drappy for its size.

What's going on in fashion/pattern design these days??? I'm about to have an entire bespoke wardobe if this continues. This is why I can't shop online...

...probably because there are more and more obese people to buy :(

This outfit is pretty adorable, though. I love the ruffled shirt.

I know, from the very first photos she posted I honestly thought they were pictures from a catalog and that she was just pointing out outfits she liked. Total model worthy!

Ok, Ok, Ok, my photo-taking method is using the "Markup" feature on iPhone Photos to add two white rectangles on each side of my mirror in the picture to hide the mess behind me...makes for a cleaner looking picture. LOLOLzz

P.S. Thanks for the nice words, but you are making my head swell to epic proportions...I'm already unbearable as it is.

Omg that's so clever. I'll have to try that sometime. Definitely gives the picture a clean look. Regardless of the background though, your great clothing style and the way your slender body looks in them is fantastic.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
