Mr. bought us tickets to the opera for my birthday a while back and we went to go see it last night. Never been to the opera before, turns out I'm not a fan (love regular theatre though :) ). When the bells went off to signal that intermission was over, I was all, I'd rather stay out here and finish my charcuterie snack pack than go back in there for another hour, hahahaha. I guess I'm not all that cultured.

Ok, this is a weird OODT. We made puppets today for a free daycare. I AM technically wearing it.

Ok. Do y'all have the mental space to let me vent about a completely ridiculous WLS first world problem?

Yeah? Great !

I *needed* a new coat. (Long-ish story but my wonderful Cole Haan coat that is dry clean only - I washed/dryed multiple times which is not usually a problem but ... I left it in the dryer too long and it shrunk. Oops 😔

So one of my daughters will get it unless I lose 15lbs) I went shopping and these are the coats/sizes/ranges I tried on:

Smalls- which were just right or too big

Mediums- which were too small or too big.

Larges- which were slightly loose or too big

No rhyme or reason to sizing these days

Here are are some of the abysmal results:

Side not: why the **** does this fitting room have a Michael Westmore FX lighting budget... I look like a Ferengi?!?! Whatevs 😒

So I went to a different store and did finally find something to make sense of all this sizing madness. This is a medium, which is my true size these days. I also bought high riding boot because FOMO 😂

Love this coat! The others were dreadful on you! They made you look about 4'6" tall. Those boots are to die for!

The first 3 were all simply off /wrong fit. Ill/well fitting clothing will make you look totally different

YES!!! I went to a nice consignment store the other day and tried on a few pairs of jeans. One size 4 Was Way too big. A size 2 Was Way too small. A size 0 fit. All different brands. Anyway it was my first time shopping consignment and I found three shirts and a jacket I ended up taking home. I was eyeballing a pair of Chanel high heels but I walked away. I never will forget them though. Maybe one day.....

Okay, this outfit is fine, but it would be MUCH better with tall boots. I clearly need to do some shopping! This dress is too big, but the belt is helping.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
