What does everyone do with their clothes that no longer fit? I have many I want to donate but make sure it goes to actually organizations that help women and kids. A lot of mine are new business dress... We don't have a renting service here where I could donate to so I'm not sure...

Look for local charities - particularly ones that work with homeless or abused women and help them transition to self sufficiency. Many local charities like that will help women train for jobs - including learning how to interview and providing them with professional clothes to use for the interview. But you can usually only take in season clothes that are less than 5-ish years old.

Dress for Success is a national organization that does such work, too.

I take all my work clothes to an organization like this, and all my casual clothes to Goodwill.

I take them to our church clothing drive or the local St. Vincent de Paul thrift store.

I found this amazing Facebook group for ladies who have had WLS! It’s called WLS sisterhood of the traveling pants! You can give your clothes that don’t fit you away to someone in the group that is that size now, and you can claim items that others are selling in your size! You just pay a shipping fee. It’s a great source to help those in our community!

Womens shelters , social services agencies and you can start your own clothing drive too!

I altered some of my clothing quite a bit to continue to wear and gave the rest away to charity, family and friends.

I’m taking mine to a consignment shop that I’m also shopping at while going through different sizes. If it doesn’t sell then the consignment shop donates it to local shelters or they will give it back to me.

I donated my clothes to an emergency family shelter and I took the fancy items and business clothes to a consignment shop that specializes in higher end brands.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
