Sex after weight loss....

Recommended Posts

My husband and I are both banded...we've lost a total of 183lbs....

So far, the change in bed is amazing.

Anyone else??? And what has improved? And what is worse???

ummm...I like sex...alot

doesn't mean I get it, I have standards after all. I have never been a one-night-stand kinda guy, except when the hormones take over. I have noticed certain things seem to be growing though, so that has most definitely made it more enjoyable for me and her (I hope).

Thats funny u mentioned growing because Dr Oz. on Oprah said that for every 30 pounds a man loses they gain 1 inch of penis size. That has got to be some kind of insperation for the men lol.

As for me I am weird I guess because I just dont want much of anything to do with sex. It was that way before surgery and its that way now. I have absolutely no sex drive at all I feel bad for my hubby lol

Oh come on.

Losing weight cannot make a penis grow larger. It can make the penis APPEAR larger.

If the above quote were accurate, my clitoris would be about 5.5" longer than it was before I had my band surgery. You'll just have to take my word for it when I say that's definitely not the case.

Look at Patrick Deuel. He lost almost 750 lbs. Let's say his pre-op penis size was your run-of-the-mill 6 inches. He would now have a 31" penis. That's like my leg.

And what has improved? And what is worse???

We have always been a very amorous couple - the biggest improvement I can think of is that we can now do positions that we couldn't do when I had as much excess weight. Positions my husband really enjoys, so I always felt bad that I could no longer do them, physically. There are some positions that just aren't doable/realistic when you're very large.

What's worse - the only con I can think of is that some positions cause me pain in my port area. Positions *I* enjoyed, and now usually don't do because of the discomfort.

But I will take that ANY day, over the alternative.

The inches men 'gain', is the fat/skin recessing away from the penis, so they're not 'growing' they're just allowing more to be out of their body.

I think it's true, but won't say why for love of my dear husband who is gaining weight :P

Sex has always been good, but I'm up for it more. I feel sexier, and it's not so taxing. More positions I can balance, and it's easier to be bendy.

BUT.. I do have port pain from missionary sex now, if my legs are up. It pulls badly. I've learned some maneuvers to lessen the pain thanks to Wheet!

My DH has a big beer gut, and honestly, at my highest weight we were getting too fat to do it, lol. Not seriously but it was way more difficult than it is now.

My weight loss has improved things but if Doug could drop 20kg I think that would make a huge difference.

Unfortunately, I'd still rather have a cup of tea and read my book in peace.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
