Got my surgery date scheduled!

It is scheduled for Jan. 22, 2019 with Dr. John Raheb in Denver. I can't believe I have a date, finally. It has been so long coming and it is still 3 months away but I am on his schedule!! Woo Hooo!! My husband came with me to the doc appt and it meant so much to me to have his support. He asked the doc how much time he should take off work to be home with me after surgery and the doc said "oh she'll be able to take care of herself once she leaves the hospital" and proceeded to tell him all the things I will be able to do for myself. I wanted to tell him NO... just tell him I will need my every need taken care of. I will need lots of love and words of encouragement. He should massage my feet so they don't get swollen and maybe even do my nails. ?? But I bit my tongue cause I really don't know the doc and maybe he would not think it was funny. My sweet husband decided he would take a week off anyways just to be home with me. Gotta love that man. ?
