This week marks my 1 year Surgiversary. I didn't do as well as I could have, but I'm happy with where I am and I know I can get back on the weight-loss trend. I haven't gained any back, but just stayed steady for many months. I am so much healthier now a year later, no sleep apnea, no high blood pressure, no GERD. It was a good decision for me.

Wow. way to go McCaw! You are killing it! Btw, I stepped on the scale for the first time since before the Christmas Holidays and am now unbelievably in to One Hundreds! Officially 197.8 from 426 in late 2018. What a journey. I felt like I didn't stay on point great through the holidays, which include my birthday and several others in my family as well as several Christmas parties but I still lost some. I never thought I would see the 100's again or that it would be possible with the loose skin I have as well. Crazy. Keep going everyone and remember why we did it!

Pictures are showing me exactly 1 year apart with the first one showing in the same clothes and the second on the left is my daughter letting me feel my granddaughter move in her belly and on the right is me exactly a year later. I am currently at a 2 month stall but no gain! I have been through two surgeries (Feb 2019 / shoulder repair & November 2019/Ventral hernia ) since my hiatal & sleeve surgery Dec 26, 2018. All of this has limited my physical abilities and so I am still proud of my progress and results and I know that it will eventually start coming off again if I stay the course. I just had a foot surgery Jan 31st that’s going to keep me from my daily walking for about 6 weeks or more but I will improvise somehow. Thank you all for sharing your stories and pictures as they keep us motivated. I am looking forward to New Year of 2020 of no more surgeries, healing and finally being able to be physically active in exercise, lose the last bit a weight and start fully living. :) Happy New Years to my fellow group!

You have to be proud of yourself. You have extended your life by years and years doing what you have done. Keep up the good work!

Hi all, I hope you are all enjoying the ways that weight loss has impacted your lives. I know that I have much more energy, and I have become more outgoing. I am now a regular exerciser and miss it when I don't do it. I was sleeved December 20, 2018 and have lost 79 pounds and reached my goal of 125 lbs.
Hi Louise I 2 was sleeved 12/20/18, down to -102, looking to loose 30 more then, I think I'll be at my goal! Great job!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
