December 2018 Sleevers!

Recommended Posts

Posted a while back when I was originally scheduled for surgery in November. However, due to some thyroid issues I had to push it back to December. I've still been on the forum and I'm super happy for all the people who have been sleeved and for those to come! Im posting tonight because my surgery is tomorrow 😳 And I guess I'm feeling a little antsy. It's like I keep on tottering back and forth between "wow you're actually doing this" to "yay you're actually doing this." I'm really proud of how I stuck to the liquid diet for the 2 weeks, I honestly didn't think I had the discipline. Anyway, I'm super appreciative of this forum and I'm def ready to become a healthier me, so here goes!!

So I’ve moved on to smooth consistency food today. It’s amazing how quickly I fill up. The best thing I ate today was 1/4 cup of mashed potato with a scoop of GENEPRO Protein (30 grams) and a tablespoon of salsa.

How’s everyone doing? I’m 4 days post op and starting to come around! Today i got out a bit, so that was good. Struggling with my Protein and liquids!! Nothing tastes great. But I’m feeling a little better each day! No more nausea or dry heaving! Ready to get back to normal though— or my new normal!

Surgery was at 730 this morning! I've slept most of the day. Had some nausea but nothing the meds wouldn't take care of. Been sipping Water and eating ice chips. Pain meds have kept pain under control. Gas pain has been the worse out of the three, but walking and moving around does wonders! Honestly feeling really good and happy! Hope this eases some minds of those who may be nervous! We got this!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
