Nausea after surgery...what is your experience?

I'm nearly 2 weeks post op. Am having nausea at times that is very unpleasant and there has been no change to what I'm eating. Is this still normal? What are other's experiences with nausea? Does it settle? How long did it take? Or is this something we have to put up with?

Emotions are also understandable. This is sometimes a point where people feel a bit of buyers remorse and emotions. Give things time. Once you are able to get real food in and see your weightlos

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. You are only 2 weeks out. Give yourself time to heal. Things are going to change over time. Welcome to the surgery losers bench.

And now I cycled back to 12 on,12 off January 1st, my labs are all coming back wonderful so that is something to be happy about this New Years 2019. What happens next? IDK but like the Late Paul Harvey, I do want to" know the rest of the story!"
But as long as I don't try eating , the vomiting almost stops so Heal Baby Heal!

I had surgery 10/8/18 and I still have to take zofran when i wake up before i drink or eat anything and then take it again in 8 hours. If i forget to take it i get super sick and throw up really bad.

I"m 3 days post up. it's smells that set off my nausea. My husbands coffee. Anything too sweet smelling. Also, brusing my teeth. Some of the meds are sickly sweet - the oxycotin and Zofran...Zofran works for me to cut the nausea but leave sthat taste in my mouth and so I have to brush every time.
