Nausea after surgery...what is your experience?

I'm nearly 2 weeks post op. Am having nausea at times that is very unpleasant and there has been no change to what I'm eating. Is this still normal? What are other's experiences with nausea? Does it settle? How long did it take? Or is this something we have to put up with?

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. You are only 2 weeks out. Give yourself time to heal. Things are going to change over time. Welcome to the surgery losers bench.

Emotions are also understandable.

This is sometimes a point where people feel a bit of buyers remorse and emotions. Give things time. Once you are able to get real food in and see your weightloss progress your emotions will be more positive.

Take care of yourself. Great things to come!

I'm still on Zofran, supposed to stop at 14 days but still emesis prone. Missed my 4 o'clock dose, just upchucked cottage cheese. Not worth it to cut a dose.?

In some states it's the Queen's Birthday holiday. In my state it was last weekend. But who doesn't love a holiday Monday? :)

The nausea thing just started for me this afternoon. We had gone out to pick up V8 (my new favourite thing) and I had a cup of peppermint green tea. Once we got home I had this huge wave of nausea that I just cannot shake, even with ondansetron. I'm hoping it's just the tea that upset my poor little pouch and that it settles with resumption of water and my other thin liquids.

still nauseous after all these weeks occasionally. Exploratory EGD 12th October,2:15 pm, same building I was in for my RnY, Doan Hall at OSUm But don't inform her, she is cranky enough already!
That sounds about right frust8. It was done at Ohio State. Sounds like you should have traveled north to Ann Arbor at University of Michigan. Lol

When they found out I was a Buckeye they might have murderfied me . Oh well, they would have found out I bleed scarlet and gray. They would have prefered me to a chick from Alabama, how could they handle that Crimson Tide?
