How much has everyone lost? I’ve lost 19 lbs in 22 days and am feeling great. No more huffing and puffing around. I have tons of energy and am starting to feel attractive again. What are some positives everyone else is noticing?

Approx 16 lbs in 23 days. My husband told me I don't snore anymore! And my boobs are sticking out father than my gut!

Since surgery on 11/26 (23 days) I've lost 11 lbs. I went through a 2 week stall though, so I try not to think of it post surgery. I started trying to lose weight on 10/17 and since then I've lost 32 lbs - that's 16 lbs a month, which I'm ecstatic about!

Biggest change I've noticed is that hygiene is easier (I have an autoimmune condition that gives me a lot of back inflammation, but changing my diet has helped that tremendously) - I can twist easier. Majorly life changing. Also, even drained from surgery, I notice more energy when I'm running errands AND - I have more energy to clean my house! It actually feels fun/rewarding now instead of feeling painful and like a chore 😊

I just figured out how to reply 🎉😂. Wooo hooo for boobies lol! I tested positive for sleep apnea before surgery so I’m really hoping I’m not snoring anymore either. Unfortunately my hubby snores louder than me so I’m not sure he would notice if my snoring has stopped.

Wow! Great job! Isn’t the added energy amazing?! I don’t take a nap during the day when my daughter naps any more.

I was sleeved 11/6 and I am down exactly 20 lbs since surgery. I'm down more than 60 lbs since starting this journey earlier this year. My post-surgery progress has been slower than I'd like, I've had two really prolonged stalls (10+ days) but I keep telling myself consistency pays off. I've got to increase my exercise, I know that'll help a lot. I've had a very easy recovery (minus the first week) though so overall, I am really happy!

I was sleeved 11/1 and today I have reached 30lbs since surgery. They weight loss has not really stalled, but is slower this last month. I also need to pick up on the exercise. I severely sprained my ankle 2 weeks after surgery so that has been limited to physical therapy 2 times a week. Hoping to hit the gym starting next week. Keep up the good work!!!

Have you ever had rosacea or lupus? Those 2 things come to mind for me.

I had my post op appt yesterday, I was sleeved on 11/19 & lost 17lbs! I was genuinely surprised. I know my clothes are fitting looser, but I’m trying not to focus too much on my weight right now and focus on more of the nutrition. I can’t believe how much more energy I have and how much better I feel walking. I’m so excited to see how the next year goes. Has anyone made any yummy recipes for the soft stage? I feel like I’ve been boring and sticking to chicken, cheese sticks, yogurt & chili mostly. I need a little variety the next few weeks!

This isn't super exciting, but I love ground turkey with shredded fat free mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top. Tastes like a cheeseburger!!

Not that I know of! I am very fair skinned so I do get red easier but I just feel like my face gets flushed and hot a few times a day.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
