Just got banded 11/7

Hi. I just got banded last Wednesday, 11/7. Came home from the hospital after a rough first night. The worst pain I feel is where the port is placed, is that normal? How long with that take to subside. My stomach is making some funky noises, and i'm tyring to stick to the post op diet they gave me. I dont have much of an appetite, but am drinking what they tell me to. Two weeks of full liquids and than on to mushies. I hear you get hungry once you heal and am not looking forward to that part. Anyway, figured I would say hi to all!!

Thanks DebC for the recipes! My doctor also put me on some creamy recipes which does help also. I never thought seeing other people eat would be so hard. Watching my family eat, I wanted to scream at them and tell them they couldn't eat. (I didn't) but I really wanted to.. I am eating cream of wheat which curb my hunger, also yogurt. Yesterday I slept all day, so today I am hoping to cook some things to get me thru the week. I still have some pains in my stomach, but I am not trying to take the meds. I would like to go back to work tomorrow.
