Insomnia After Gastric Sleeve

Hi everyone! I am 3 weeks post op (August 15) and doing pretty well - however, sleeping has been a challenge since the surgery. At first, it was because of the pain, but that has subsided and now I lay awake for hours at night. Napping has been tough and even when I do fall asleep, the quality isn’t amazing. Pre-surgery I could have fallen asleep standing up, so this is a totally new issue for me. Has anyone else had this problem post sleeve? (Please tell me it goes away, I’ve tried all the remedies I can think of. Wahhhh!)

I would assume it would go away once you are fully healed up, so somewhere around the 6 - 8 week mark. Have you discussed this with your surgeon, surgical team or PCP?

This must be a thing. I was sleeved on Aug 13 currently experiencing this. If I do get to fall asleep at night I wake up every hour on the hour. It sucks because I am sleepy I just can’t sleep. I have some serious bags under my eyes it’s horrible. Ugg going to cool my surgeons office today. This is so not cool.
