Good morning y’all...just came to thank you all for the support and also to share my progress so far.
Almost 9 months pp and down from a size 18/20 to a size 8/10! I am in Brazil because my mother had some serious medical issues and don’t have a scale around but last time I weighed I was 90 lbs down and have 28 more to go to reach my goal.
I am beyond happy!
Hope you’re all doing great!image-0.00107288360595703.thumb.jpg.58ce8d77d438b7be4338c86773a57dd7.jpg

I'll be 9 months out tomorrow. Loss has definitely slowed. This month, I lost 1.5 lbs and 2.75 total inches. Still the right direction, just slower. I find that on the weight loss side, I've been up one week, then down the next for about 6 weeks. I'm actually kind of glad that I've been able to wear the same clothes all summer - cheaper that way since just before summer I had run out of smaller sizes in my closet and had to buy a whole new wardrobe. I kind of hope this stuff will last until fall, when I'll have to buy new stuff no matter what because none of my fall/winter clothes fit anymore.

It'll be interesting to see what the next 3 months brings. Because of my schedule and my surgeon's schedule, I don't have my 9 month check up until September.

I'm 10 months post surgery and had been getting frustrated with how slow the progress on the scale had been lately. My husband's employer sends us to Cedar Point every summer (which was not exactly the happiest place for me to be pre-surgery). This year I knew would be better as I have lost over 90 lbs but I was ecstatic to find out I could comfortably fit into the Calvin Klein Jean's my daughter bought me in January. So this past Saturday, I felt like a kid, wore my size 10s and rode every ride we could without having to take the walk of shame off a single one! We had so much fun my husband bought us season passes for next year! I cant thank this community enough for being there to support me and encourage me. Without that, I am sure I would never have made it this far.

@Bmanns01...I think you could probably even go a size or two smaller on those jeans! Congrats on the weight loss (and the fun had at the park), you look great ❤️

@ms.sss thank you for the support! My proportions are still off for me to go down another size just yet...I dont know if its excess skin, some remaining stubborn belly fat or a combination of the two but I have a hard time getting smaller jeans to comfortably button and zip around my lower abdomen. (I call it my baby poosh because it only became a real problem after I had my kids but that obviously isn't a medical thing. Lol) it's smaller than it was but its still pretty prominent in some photos. (You can see it in the gray tank top I'm wearing in my recently posted pic)

Hi there,

Lovin the pics of everyone loosing, isn't it a great feeling. This summer I went to UK with my son for my nieces wedding, my son brought up a pic from July of last year and I could see a "slight" difference lol Id taken photos through out the past 10 months but nothing compares to this one. Its been a long journey and my weight loss is slowing down to a crawl but still loosing! 150lb loss has blown me and my surgeon away, from a 32 to a 14 right now is so cool. I would like to get to a 12 then I can comfortably stop looking at the scale lol

Hope you guys are doing ok, would love to see more pics of everyone!

Reached the 10 month post op mark four days ago.

I've been in maintenance for about 3 months now, having decided to stop losing weight back in the end of May. Still trying to find my "sweet spot" in terms of calorie intake and exercise. It's basically been trial and error, but I think I'm getting close 🤞🏼

Regardless, I feel awesome and am almost used to the new bod. I'm still sometimes taken aback when I see my reflection, or when I fit into clothes that look microscopic to me.

Anyhoo, here is a pic from a couple weeks ago (I'm wearing a bikini bottom for effs sakes! haven't worn one of those in decades). And for fun, some BEFORE pics (these were taken last summer, about 3 months before surgery)

Hey hey hey! We are quickly approaching 1 year! Can’t believe how quick it went. Wanted to follow up on my “slow loser” from a few months. What's new and what’s changed? @Hrsnjs hope you are well!! I’m at 61lbs and feeling good, my Nutritionist still thinks I’m 20lbs behind but I’m working through it. Some days I’m ok with my progress and other days I’m down about it...losing 10lbs in a 2-3 month period is a HARD PILL TO TAKE after letting someone cut and remove 80% of your stomach! Or I’m just hard on myself. Anyone else out there feels they are a slow loser but finding ways to overcome. Thanks! Rock on guys!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
