I am having a revision done 8/13. The liquid diet hasn’t been too bad (mind over matter, right?). I’ve lost 4 pounds in 4 days so that alone has kept me motivated.

Until yesterday, I'd lost 9lbs (for 6 days worth of liquid diet), but this morning I gained 1.4 of it back which has be SUPER perplexed because not a single thing changed...I didn't eat more, didn't eat at any different time of day, didn't cheat. I'm like wtf? Lol. I'm gonna see what happens tomorrow morning...maybe my scale was just weird.

So how is everyone feeling that had surgery this week? I had it Monday and I'm ok I have alot of pressure in my tummy still. Also I don't think I can take one more sweet thing like popcyles and Jello, also i have always loved chicken noodle broth but I think after this I will hate it!

I was sleeved Monday, feeling great. Getting more Protein in. Cold drinks and Jello make my gas pain worst but overall I'm feeling really good!

I had my sleeve on August 8. Came home yesterday. Starting to feel soreness and coughing. But okay for the most part.

You probably have the fluids they pumped into your body while, you, had a an IV plus there probably is Fluid and swelling internally from the assault on your body.Yeah you wanted it but your gastrointestinal system is "crying", it says "why, oh why did YOU let them do this to ME? I thought we were friends?" Gradually the "water weight" will leave and you will start again on your weight descent. It's ALL GOOD after all.😍 💓😛

What pill? Is that the emend?

Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Yes the horribly expensive Emend. I found a GoodRX coupon which bring the price down to $120 for 2 pills.

I must have really good insurance (not bragging, still shocked), I was surprised it was covered and paid $40 for all my pre / post op Meds yesterday. I was expecting to use the emend coupon I found online and didn't need to.

No you should brag. If my medicines were $40 I would brag and choregraph a victory dance. My doctor warned me it would be expensive so I was prepared. My biggest fear now is when I take the Emend it will slip out of my hand and fall into the AC vent. That would be just my luck.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
