shakes Post Surgery?

i just made one with Isagenix powder Water and ice. It’s not going down well. The bubbles I think are the culprit. Causing me to beltch a lot after every sip. Anyone else experiencing this? I want to drink my shake! But struggling ... ughhhh. 😬

I swapped to a large cup full of Water and it worked out well. Not getting the belchyness anymore.

Def contact doc hon. We are post surgery and must take any and all abdominal pain seriously. I had another visit to the ER over the weekend. Lower abdominal pain. I tried to tough it but doc said to go in and exclude internal bleeding etc. like I suspected, it Wounded up being a ruptured ovarian cyst, but I had peace of mind knowing exactly where the pain was coming from

You poor woman! Gentle hugs. My doctor said as long as the pain was tolerable and nothing was red or swollen I am okay. The pain has been minimal today.

Hope everyone is doing well! Chellnc hope things get better for you!

So I’m capitalizing on my communuties overgrowth. I live in a Mormon community and they all have gardens and all grow way too much. All that over growth I’m watching for posts. Just scored 3 summer squash to make taco boats with!! Woo hoo! I now have everything for a healthier taco night without having to spend money on it!! Which is super tight right now.

Trying to figure out meals that aren’t repeats of my Soups for the coming weeks too without having to grocery shop is hard... I can’t have everything we have.

Thanks @Megan Sadler! I'm feeling better now. Awesome that you're able to get the extra veggies.

Someone asked me recently when I was going to buy new clothes. I've not lost enough to buy clothes yet. But money is super tight for us right now too. If the hubby hadn't needed surgery it wouldn't be this bad but still tight.

Tacos sound so good right now!

ChellNC, I’ve gotten really lucky and scored a bunch of hand me downs from friends and family members. Hopefully you have some folks close to you that can hook you up when the time comes!

So proud of u both for already needing cloths! YOU GO!! Since this is not my first rodeo I have cloths in every size from 24 to 12 (never been below that), so in that department I am set. Now just to loose enough to slide in em!

Thanks! I don't think I'm at that point yet though. My bathing suit fits still. Boooooo! They won't let me back in the pool for a few more weeks though. Hopefully by then I can get into my new smaller one.

You're going to be in size 12 before you know it!

Now now, let’s think through this...

1. You are eating now, have you had a BM? Sometimes you can get backed up.

2. Have you increased Sodium? Could be Water.

3. Is it around your cycle time? Could bevwater?

4. Did you have something with high carb or sugar? Could be your liver swelling with glycogen.

5. Have you been taking in your water? Could be retention.

6. Are your scales right? Could they be off?

Unless you have somehow managed to eat 7000 cals above what you spent, it’s can’t be fat. I know it’s easier heard than believed, but that’s a fact. Hang in there and stick to your plan and they should roll off soon.

Yea I haven’t had a BM in a week. I’m bleeding, working on Water but sodium in food. I did have a treat that had some carbs in it. Im making a list of breakfasts lunches and dinners that are low carb high protien. I expected the stall I didn’t expect to gain weight.

Are you using a food tracker? I find that using one really helps me keep in check with what's going into my body. @ellie123 - Thank you for a couple of your bullet items. They were things I didn't even take into consideration.

@Megan Sadler, My sleeve was one day before your surgery and I'm down 10lbs from surgery, and I keep bouncing with 2 lbs, one minute I'm down next I'm up. I think we just have to remember what all the vets say and keep with our plan and the lbs will shed.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
