I had mine a couple of days ago and I must say, it was one of the weirdest things I’ve ever been through (besides being awake during the endoscopy..that was NOT fun). I didn’t think the barium was too horrible, just super thick. I think the hardest part was drinking the fizzy drink and not burping after. And don’t be surprised after you drink the barium when the X-ray tech has you lay on your belly and kind of roll around. It’s done to coat your stomach with the barium but it was totally a “wow I must look stupid” moment XD. Overall, not a horrible process just really weird!
