I had my Band fitted over ten years ago. Extremely successful in the first 18 months.

I have deep rooted psychological issues and have fought the band on and off for years. I am a little under my start weight right now.

i am quite well restricted, but am perfectly able to eat a very large meal in one sitting. Other times not so, I just walk away and eat later.

pneumonia last year, after which I began spitting up blood, usually three times a day. I had pains in so many different places, but mainly to my left side. It seems more pronounced now near my band site. The blood and pain is worsened by exertion and can last ages and be very severe. It can make me breathless even at rest.

i had an X-ray last September 2017, was told everything looked fine. I’ve had a Bronchoscopy, endoscopy, colonoscopy and CT and Ultrasound Scans. Very many blood tests and a couple of chest X-rays. Nothing found.

Has anyone had pains and spat (not coughed) up blood. If so, have you had any procedures as a result please ??

Desperate for answers.

Yikes. Any chance you have a dental issue or blood coming from a tonsil abscess or anything higher than your esophagus? Are you prone to nose bleeds? Have you been suffering sinus pressure, etc? I would show these photos to your doctor and ask for a referral to a specialist. Maybe an ENT?

Sorry you're having this problem. Please let us know what you find out. Don't let it go. Keep making noise. Show the photos to your doc.

Please consult a physician sooner rather than later. Good luck.

From Combo to ala carte, my how meals have changed. Hubby and I would both get combo meals, and be able to finish them and that's after finishing off a basket of chips and salsa! These days we get ala carte or even share a combo. And I'm trying to be more conscious of the small bites. And trying to eat a little something in between. That is harder as I have always tried not to snack in between meals, but lately by the time it was time to eat, I'm not taking the time to chew and then it all goes down hill from there.  Still working on it and feeling the body changing YES!

NSV: yesterday a business man came into to see one of the bosses. He gave me a candy bar first and then the paperwork. I said I would be sure to give to supervisor. he says no candy is for you. I said its ok, he was , NO ITS FOR YOU. I said thank you , that I had had weight surgery so I tend to stay away from candy. He looked at me up and down and said you don't need surgery (probably didn't understand what I had said).  It's nice knowing that I look fit enough to where I would not need one, lol. Working out 25 out of 31 days definitely helps!
