Can you try another source? Will your surgeon's office help you?

I applied to two companies to see who would give me the better rate: Capitol One and Care Credit. I also ended up using both because Care Credit had a lower interest rate. I ended up splitting it about 2/3 on Capitol One and 1/3 on Care Credit. Surely your doctor has some suggestions on who they work with.

Keep trying and good luck!

I used Capital One for fiancing too. They were really quick about it as well. They pretty much just have to confirm fees with your Surgeon and know how the checks are to be written. For example mine were broken up as follows: hospital, anesthesia and surgeon fees for a total of $14,500.

Hope this helps,

Leena

I, too, used Care Credit and got immediate approval after applying online. Definitely try them. When I applied alone I was only approved for half of what I needed (but my credit is TERRIBLE so half was actually a huge surprise to me), I applied again w/ a co-signer (thank you mom!) and was approved for the whole amount...again immediately (the account number was given to me upon approval as well, no need to wait for the card)

I did what you did and set a date not knowing for sure if I'd get the loan. Somehow things have their ways of working out...

make sure if you apply with capital one that your doctor is a particpating in the program i got a loan from them only to find out my doc didnt participate gosh i was bummed! are you paying for the whole surgery or just a small amount ? THE HOSPITAL sometimes will work out or offer some financing! good luck!

alright i gave it some thought and i decided even if this loan doesnt work out i'll get another I shouldnt let something like this stand in my way of happiness

Good for you! Don't let it stand in your way.

I'm a single mom of 3 w/ no insurance. Like you, I made it happen. Found a great surgeon who gave me a great deal, $7,000. Didn't want to compromise my safety just by selecting a 'cheap' surgeon.

I used my line of credit/overdraft protection attached to my checking account.

Keep us posted.
