I hate it when people post just to post.....

....like when clearly the post has no relevance or adds no value to the OP's question or concern.

Like this:

OP Question: I am having trouble finding a good fish recipe I like...can anyone help?

Response: I hate fish! Fish makes me gag!

Can someone explain the purpose of this? I mean, if you don't like fish, then why dont you just move on to the next thread? Who really cares what makes you gag or not gag???? I know I don't.

PJTP...Boy, y'all have been busy today!:blushing:

No meeting today with HR and BBoss - they rescheduled because my ineffective union rep was out sick today and could not make it. Of course I had to find this out from the HR person, NOT from my union rep...

Had lunch with a good friend - just got back. Had a bit of Pad Thai - couldn't eat more than a third of it...love my band! Hanging in there...seeing my PCP on the 17th, going to ask for a fill anyway, I've got another 30 lbs to lose (by my reckoning) to get to around 175, and then I'll hopefully be off the diabetes meds.

Still looking for other jobs - if in fact I do get a suspension, I'll use the time to look for another job. I've got friends looking around for me as well. I'll get tons of house projects done...it will be a financial setback, but I can handle it. I am going to stay until they escort me out the door - and I'll do it with a smile on my face! It will just kill them that my attitude remains great even while they are doing their dirt.

Heard back from job #1 I applied for - they chose someone else. Sending a 'thank you for your time' email to leave them with a good impression...

Love all the support I get from you guys - thanks so very much!

The hunt continues...BBL!

You may remember my story of the aunt who gave me boxes and boxes and boxes and boxes of books. Her most recent gift to me has arrived...and before I list them, you must know that these items are ones that were in my grandparents house, and were there from before I was born. These things are a minimum of 50 years old - most my mother thinks are 65 years or more. That being said, the box that arrived contained:

1. Two PINK plaster fish with separate pink bubbles (a set of 2 fish and 5 bubbles). These were on the bathroom wall.

2. Two ceramic owls about 8" in height - these sat on the kitchen wall at the farm.

3. One metal plate frame with a brass picture insert of the last supper. This was in the dining room - where children could never go, but we could see into it.

4. Two multi-colored blue bird ornaments (about 10" high)...I don't remember these, but my mother does!

Now, what am I going to do with this stuff? My aunt is coming for a visit next month and will certainly scope out the joint looking for them.

I don't like ANY of them (fond remembrances, yes) and even if I did like them, I have no wall space for them. My house over-floweth; I have no room for additional STUFF. I'm NOT a knick-knack-y person; I dislike clutter and decorative things other than the artwork I select. I don't want to seem ungrateful or hurt her feelings.

I also received a beautiful white embroidered tablecloth that sat on the dining room table...that we were not allowed at. It's gorgeous and will be put to use.

i would display them all in the guest room she'll be staying in.???? or somewhere else in the house - then donate what you don't want, would love to see a pic of the fish.....

It is obvious to me that I need a fill in the worse way. I have been starving the last few days! Although I haven't gone over calorie wise today, I have eaten like a porker! I am scared to get a fill because of how often I am getting the braces adjusted. I am scared that will my difficulty chewing, I won't be able to get anything down. Any suggestions?

so as i turn on the news - i hear that a plane has been hijacked in MX City......DH had a 11am flight there.

just off the phone w/him, his plane had to circle around the city for an hr till they were cleared to land ......whew:mellow:

it's a PITA most days, but exercise to counter the calories?

:blushing:

Crappola! I need to be doing that on a more regular basis. I am having a difficult time finding an exercise that I like enough to keep doing it. So far, I just want the magic bullet that takes the weight off, keeps it off, and makes me tone all at the same time. Of course, I do live in "fantasy land" most days...

he likes to dodge bullets - literally i think, cause he was laughing.

must have passed the good stuff out in bus class while circling......crazy stuff.

Hey everybody! I had my psych eval yesterday. Should hear by the end of the week whether or not I'm truly nuts. I'm voting for "total whack-job" but maybe I fooled the guy...

KC, sorry on the credit card thing. That sucks.

Torky - hope you finally got your room in order for today

Ebony - fingers are crossed for you

Beth - hope school is going well

Brandy - wine is a good thing but apparently not thru the mail. Whodduh thunk? Glad you're not in jail...yet

Glou - WTG passing up the vending machine. Got milk?

Tap - so glad you're back. I agree on Aunt's visit; put the stuff out and remove when she leaves.

Lulu - How can you stand all that remodeling and house in disorder? I nearly went insane when I had a deck put on that only took 4 days. The kitchen? I'd be a basket case.

Slim - hope you get a fill if you need one and that your braces treat you nicely

I'm sure I missed someone(s). Sorry.:blushing: I hope y'all had a good day. I was in the pool and finally did some grocery shopping. Guess that means ordering pizza for dinner is out...phooey...Hmmm, someone will have to cook...Volunteers???

TTFN

i drink large quantities of wine.....:blushing:

nah - i don't get myself worked up too much about what i don't have control over. i know the end is near, love the results of upstairs (had a kitchen built up there - so not freaked too much) .... just exercise patience - oh and the wine:)

My DH had to travel quite a bit when he first started his current job. We all (me, DS, and DH) enjoyed DH being gone during the week. My grocery bill went down. Utility bills went down. Then the travel just stopped. It was awful getting used to him being underfoot again.

My dad always traveled a lot before he retired. My mother always kiddingly said that's how they've stayed together all these years. He went from super platinum flyer to nothing. He had mom definitely had an adjustment period! (I thought she was going to kill him, lol.)

re: kc's I AM PISSED!

As I said on FB, I am so sorry about this. So far, I've been lucky with identity theft. People like that suck.

Glo- you're crazy .. I suck a the 5 day test so props to you. By the end of day one I am hiding in the closet with a bag of chips rofl.

Kc- that sucks. My CC was stolen online and someone bought a bunch of UGG boots. Mind you I love them so when DH got the bill he asked how many feet I had. I said 2 .... He said take the other 14 pairs back then haha.

:blush::lol: x2

tap - called t-mobile and they could have cared less - were like "our security is fine but we'll make a note on your account"

Again making my case that telecom companies suck!!!

OMG so scary!!! I panicked over the weekend hearing that a European cruise had contracted some stomach flu. (Parents are on a European cruise.) Glad we both had good news!!!

i drink large quantities of wine.....

nah - i don't get myself worked up too much about what i don't have control over.

that's so great that you can remain calm b/c I would hate having to make that many decisions and having "strangers" in my house!

gasp - you drink wine?!? i had no idea! :blushing:
