I am starving. I get full faster, but it doesn't last long at all. It kills me to not snack. I haven't passed you though. It will be a LONG time before I have a 1 in front of my weight like you have. I have PCOS too, so I understand about holding on to the weight.

Posting to say, wow, I have to go out of town for a couple of days, come back and find I am over 15 pages behind on this thread. That will teach me for only checking in once or twice while I'll was gone.

Guess I will have to get my booty on to work and then spend some time reading and catching up (sshhhhhhh, don't tell my boss!).

hi guys

Yeah you!!

Walking/slipping/sliding in a winter wonderland this morning. Heart attack snow (for those in the more southern climates, it is very heavy wet snow - very heavy. many suffer heart attacks when shovelling it). So DH and I were out at 5am shovelling our little driveway. Then when walking back from the Y to work, no snow ploughs had been out, roads were a mess, no sidewalks salted, and it was a tough walk....

Love my hot coffee and being INSIDE when outside it's rotten!!!

luluc-I have had a fill. I THINK I can tell a difference, just not much of one. I eat about a cup of food in one sitting, but after about an hour, I am hungry. I don't mean head hunger. I mean stomach grumbling with hunger pains. I have been trying to drink something when I feel it in hopes of stopping the awful feeling.

that sux!

it's the hardest part i think of this whole process. waiting for restriction, i swore i would be the one who never got it. took 5 fills before i felt like i did after surgery - by fill #8 i realized restriction. it was frustrating, especially watching hubby having restriction after 3 fills, and i was eating more than him.....and he's 6'3, and was 280 at the time....

maybe sip on a Protein Drink, not just liquids in between???

PJTP - had to break out my WINTER coat this morning!:)

It's cold here in Connecticut - and the wind! I'm really glad I found this coat in August before they got "popular".

Got an unexpected gift this morning - my manager, who has had the bypass and is MUCH slimmer, brought me one of her "old" coats. She dresses very, very well - has a wonderful sense of style. Beautiful ivory wool coat, classic lines, made for a tall woman.:)

Now, shopaholic that I am, I've got to find some ivory leather boots to go with...Ebay here I come!:)

I can relate - I also had to break out the shovels! 30 minutes of shovelling at 5am!

I will try the Protein drink. Something has to give on this. I can't get another fill for a month. I don't want to gain weight during that time, so I am using all of my will power (which if it was a lot of will power, I wouldn't be fat) to not choose the wrong things. ugg. I knew this was going to be hard work, but dag!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
