How many of you guys were told it would take a month to get approval for your surgery and you got it before then? Also how long was it actually...?

Sorry fairy - I pm'd you with my info. I had some creepy people (damn Plain for figuring me out!) bother me so I had to set everything to Private.

I sleep like a burrito. I am a HUGE cover hog - Thank goodness DH doesn't like cover or we'd have issues.

I am heading into 2 days of meetings in another location - I will be internet-less! I'm going into withdrawal thinking of it (particularly when I KNOW that much time will be wasted in circular arguments, and I could be much more productive if I were on-line).

I'll check in on the weekend................

once the paperwork is with the review who do you call and talk to i mean what do you say once you have someone on the phone I knew what to do to see if the paperwork WAS THERE but yeah lol

I just talked to the service rep that answered. I told them that my doctor had sent in paperwork for predetermination of benefits for WLS. The rep was able to check to see if they had the paperwork and see if the review department had started looking at it. I also sent emails from their website. The rep that got my email actually requested follow up from the review department to tell her as soon as they were done with it. She emailed me the afternoon it was approved. My surgeon's office accepted the copy of the email until they got the official approval letter 2 weeks later.

I have to wear a very annoying brace, am on anti-inflammatories and have to go to physical therapy.

HOW do you take antinflamatories? Told me I can't with the band.

Lulu. thanks for posting the pictures!!! They are so cute! I would love to have a new puppy.

BBK, ummmm, uh oh. Maybe I need to call my band doc tomorrow and make sure it is safe to take them. Now I am worried.

My throat hurts and day time TV sucks.

Susan I had to take anti inflammatories for a back injury I had and my Dr prescribed one that was soluble in Water. If your band Dr gives you the ok to take them, maybe they could prescribe the soluble ones which are much easier to take.

Maybe that's another thread topic - movies we have seen and loved or loathed.

That's a great idea. It's nice when someone else has given a movie a good review so when you go to rent one, you have something in mind.

Froggi sorry, I was a self pay. I would go nuts too if I had to wait for an insurance company to make up their minds. We will keep our fingers crossed for you.

Susan I hope you're not in too much pain. My dr. said I can take anti inflamatories if I drink plenty of Water to flush it through the pouch.

I have flannel sheets on my bed all year long except for about one month which is usually August. I am always cold too.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
