Talking about my NSV shorts. While at DS's home I forgot what I was wearing. Well like a child needing to go pee and waits till the last minute. I almost peed myself. When I ran into the restroom I grabbed both sides and went to jerk my shorts down! They wouldn't move!:tongue2: That split second I seen things flashing in my mind. Oh, my DBIL ans DN would have a blast with this one. It would be one Auntie would never live down!:biggrin: Then I started trying to fumble with the button!(note to self..when wearing these shorts make time for potty) Such a strange feeling trying to unbutton something on my stomach! I haven't done that in 31 yrs.

Warning! Another long-ass post from me!

Wasn't it awful! I could not believe the crud she wrote!

Yeah, shocking, even for me!

Now that's just not nice - here we are suffering the coolest and wettest summer on record, and you're boasting of hot temps! Send them this way!

Sorry! I'd love to trade you! Do you have an vacation time? Come visit!

WHOO HOO!!! I finally slept. I went from 9pm last night until 830 this morning - unheard of for me, but absolutely fan-freakin-tastic!!!! Thanks for all your wishes!

Oh I am SOOOOO happy for you!!! Absolutely thrilled! Now let us hope you continue to sleep when you're supposed to!

Now, if only I could go out and play in the dirt. But NOOOOOO, I've gotta stay inside and do stuff because it's raining again/still!!

AGAIN?!?!?!?!!!!!! Why doesn't it ever rain during the week so you can have your weekend outside? Sheesh!

Morning all!

Morning! Okay well it's 4:30 here now. First time on the computer today.

!

Oh and I don't know what boom boom pow is so it is NOT stuck in my head!

Me neither.

Oh good. Glad I'm not the only one! Still haven't gotten an explanation! LOL!

LOL.... My youngest is like you on the music. She took the only David Casady (can't remember how to spell his name) record I had,She likes some of the Monkeys songs but not all. She love Joplin, The Who, etc.....

I have pretty varied tastes. There are some songs I can like, say in rap, but pretty much hate the rest. I like a little bit of just about everything! Classical, new age, international, country, rap, heavy metal, oldies, 60's, 70's, etc.

Morning all. Hope you are having a great weekend! Have a blessed weekend everybody!

You too!

I can't remember the last time I wore anything on my bottom that buttoned and zipped! :crying:

WHOO HOO!!!!!!

aquiring strength to not spit my coffee out laughing at this:)

"Oh! Oh! Okay, geeky thing and will probably drop my coolness status with Fanny b/c I am a lover of AC/DC and Metallica BUT I was watching a Biography show on The Monkees. I'd forgotten how much I loved them when I was a kid."

LOL! Which part? Or the whole thing?! LOL!

enjoying a saturday am - one in which i was able to guzzle my snapple diet peach tea.

You sound SO much better today! I'm thrilled that you're feeling better! I'm having to drink A LOT slower since my fill on Thurs.

have a good sat all!

You too!

Need to get out and weed though! :tongue2:

I've always hated weeding.

DH and i are just looking at one another - as to who is going to get on the tractor & mow/clean pool or hit up the farmers market.

Now where we live, I don't have beds to weed. It all gets whacked with the weeder or the mower! AND DH does ALL of it! The only thing I do outside is keep my garden!

everytime i pop into his office he has marth or ellen on.

told him the other day i want his man card back & his cowboy season ticket seat.

Heck, if he can cook, let him at it! DH is pretty good in the kitchen too. I think it's a firefighter requirement! LOL!

Punishment should probably be all the before mentioned tasks and then fanning you with a palm!

LOL!

guess i need my sunscreen - he just left for the store w/his shopping list....

Have fun mowing! I actually don't mind doing it, used to at the place we used to rent but now with DD, she'd insist on being on it with me and I just don't want to go there.

SNT - they are cute, sweet, good guys and young (sensing a minor trend this week) but they're taken ---- with each other.

I am up, and off to buy a bassinet. For my newest grandson to be. Should be fun---on a Saturday! YUCK!

Good luck and try to have fun!

It will be 95 here today and we don't have airconditioning, yuck!

Heartfire~ Love The Monkees! Used to watch the show when I was a kid! Oh wait, dating myself!

Off to get a massage this morning - decided to treat myself. Then home to do more weeding and mowing, never ending cycle! Last day for step-daughter, she is with her dad all morning, maybe the reason for the trip will be revealed?

Sorry about no air! Y'all aren't used to temps like this normally, if I remember right.

Well, since we're about the same age, I think you're already dated! LOL!

Oooooooo a massage! I'm hoping to take advantage of that when I'm up at Black Butte in Sept! I had a Hot Rock way too long ago and LOVED IT!!!!

UGH!! re the step-daughter!

PJTP: DD and I hit the HS pool today. They open at 10 and I think we were there before 10:30. Didn't leave til nearly 2. Both of us were starving even tho we ate at their snack bar. It's all crap so I tried to keep it to a minimum. Only 1 of each hot pocket, corn dog and ice cream sandwich and we split them. Oh and 2 bottles of Water. We came home and ate. Last time, I took our own food but for some reason, it didn't even occur to me today. Next time, I'll be sure to pack our own again.

Now we're watching Shrek 2. DD gets a kick out of it. Loves Puss in Boots! Puss reminds DH and I of a cat we used to have. Better than Puss. Way cooler and best damn cat in the universe! Miss that old guy! DD would've LOVED him. And actually he would have adored her too. He loved kids!

Just find something to do in the house. maybe do the neked happy dance for getting some sleep. Just shut the curtians because if plain thinks your doing the neked dance he will spy on you!

Nekid happy dance would be dangerous - flopping gals could give me a black eye!

Instead I did vacuuming, washed baseboards, sorted all the DVDs alphabetically and color coded the cases (and no, I'm not OCD, I'm neat), and did some touch up painting of a few places where walls were nicked, baked a lovely chicken dish for supper, and just generally puttered. There is always some housework to do - always.

Any way I have had them about 3 months. Today I thought what the heck and tried them on. They fit and nicely! What makes me so excited is they button and zip! I can't remember the last time I wore anything on my bottom that buttoned and zipped!

I know exactly that feeling - moving from pull-ups to buttons and zips! Great NSV!!

What an exciting morning for everyone - sleep to those who need it, enjoyment of fresh good food, slipping into something smaller, etc, etc - I LOVE IT!

It is good! And as for weeding, I wish I could! I love playing in the dirt! Sadly more thunderstorms have kept me inside AGAIN!!!:cursing::tongue2::cursing:

he's gotten in touch w/his feminen side lately watching martha stewart & has a great recp he wants to cook tonight - so therefore he should go shopping......has NOTHING to do w/it being in the high 90's already:blushing:

Absolutely - he who cooks, shops.

Punishment should probably be all the before mentioned tasks and then fanning you with a palm!

Sounds good - sitting by the pool, having a drink or two and being fanned by the spouse. Isn't that how life is supposed to be?

they are cute, sweet, good guys and young (sensing a minor trend this week) but they're taken ---- with each other.

OH. Well, that takes some of the fun out of it!

Off to get a massage this morning - decided to treat myself. Then home to do more weeding and mowing, never ending cycle!

Massage - never had one, not going to either. Can't bear the thought of it.

Weeding and mowing though sound a lot more fun!

Oh G4E - that's so funny! :lol::mad::lol:

Sick - Feel free to fly me to Atlanta anytime...now, or in the long cold winter months when shoveling snow is the usual past-time!

Just watched a fabulous movie - 5 minutes of heaven. Great, but unless you are very good with real Irish accents, you won't enjoy it much! They're second nature to me, so I really enjoyed it, but DH - not so much.

Have a great evening all.

David Cassidy is supposed to play an aging rock star---who was once a teenage heart throb, and is now reduced to playing casino lounges etc. He unknowingly fathered a DD during his fame, and now he is left to raise her. With his wierd schedule they live or she lives (cannot remember what I read) with his brother, played by none other than his brother!!!

And yes it is produced by the 3rd brother. But it is said to kind of poke fun at himself.

I thought he and Bobby Sherman were both to die for when I was young......haven't seen or heard about Bobby Sherman in years. Even thought I should have been named Julie for his song!!!

Off to eat mexican food with the DH---see y'all!

Heartfire-glad you and DD had fun at the pool. Boom Boom Pow is a rap/dance/pop song by the Blackeyed Peas.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday!

Only 1 of each hot pocket, corn dog and ice cream sandwich and we split them. Oh and 2 bottles of Water.< /p>

The pool and junk food, must be summer! Bet DD loved it! Mine always did!

Talking about my NSV shorts. While at DS's home I forgot what I was wearing. Well like a child needing to go pee and waits till the last minute. I almost peed myself. :tongue2:

Ok, that is too funny. I almost reminded you to make sure you left for the potty early when I saw your post this morning. Next time I will make sure and send the message!

I thought he and Bobby Sherman were both to die for when I was young......haven't seen or heard about Bobby Sherman in years. Even thought I should have been named Julie for his song!!!

I had a pillow case with Bobby Sherman's face on it :(- kind of creepy now that I type it, but, oh yeah!!! Even had the silly 45s off the back of the Cereal boxes for Bobby and David Cassidy. Ah youth, life was so simple!

PJTP: Step-daughter is gone. She never asked for anything or even had a drama fit. Hmm, maybe she has grown up... We will wait and see, she will have to earn back trust and respect. It was rather awkward the whole time she was here. It would almost have been easier to visit with a complete stranger, I don't know, it was just weird.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

Ummm, they couldn't come up with anything better than that?! UGH!

How was the Mexican food? Love, love, love Mexican food!

Heartfire-glad you and DD had fun at the pool. Boom Boom Pow is a rap/dance/pop song by the Blackeyed Peas.

Thank you! I'm going to have to go find it. I've liked a couple of their songs before, might like this one too. I don't get to listen to much lately.

I did have a nice Saturday, thank you. I hope yours was nice as well!

Yep, she loved it. The only reason I got her away from the pool is that I offered her a cheeseburger kids meal from Carl's Jr. She hardly eats any of it, a couple of bites of burger and a few fries and she drinks the milk. She wants the toy! LOL! She'd been asking for a "star burger" a couple of days ago and we hadn't been in a really long time, so I kinda threw the better part of a day away on junk. She did have some fruit today and a huge carrot before bed!

Wow re the step-daughter. Glad it wasn't just a cover for asking for something. Maybe she has grown up and is reaching out to her family. Sometimes getting married or having a kid causes some major growing up.

It would be strange if there's bad history. You have all of that and you're just waiting for the other shoe to drop b/c that's all you've ever had to go on. Let's hope it's changed for good!

PJTP: Finished the day off quietly. A few movies, dinner, then bed for DD.

Hope y'all have a good night!

Hello anyone I am new to this site and I am having alot of trouble finding my way around can anyone tell me how to post a new thread your help is appreciated

Hi, ChristaO:

It's easy.

The best way for someone new to this place would be to:

1. Scroll to the top of the Screen.

2. Click on HOME

3. Click the name of the Section you want to post in (Introductions, Lap-Band Fills, food and Nutrition, etc)

4. When you are in the section you want to post the new thread in, scroll ALMOST to the top of the Page, and on your upper-left hand side you will see a button labled "New Thread"....the same button is also near the BOTTOM of the Page as well. Click it.

5. When the new page loads, Enter the title of the new thread in the "Title" box.

6. Enter your post in the Main Box, and when you are done scroll down and click on "Submit New Thread".

It's that easy!

There are others ways of doing it, but since you are new here, that is the best "roadmap" to use.

Good luck, and we'll look forward to your Contributions!

Morning everyone!

Once again, RAIN today. It's easy to be a weatherman/ meterologist here - rain, followed by rain, with a chance of rain...every fricken day! :(:tongue2::mad: This is unheard of here, and there are a lot of really cranky people around! So, I guess more inside stuff today...but I don't want to do it....stamping my foot. I WANT TO BE OUTSIDE!

krtork - As heartfire said, maybe the step-daughter is maturing, and trying to build bridges.

Slim - as I've mentioned before, if I could make the money I make at my job, I WOULD clean for a living, and garden (weeding, hauling soil, turning compost, etc), and organize things. I love to make lists, and sort things, and there's nothing like the satisfaction of getting someplace clean! Sadly, DH doesn't share this passion of mine (he thinks I'm nuts), and although not a dirty person, he loves his clutter... I long ago gave up trying to keep the study neat and I keep his closet door shut - as much as these things grieve me!

So, what shall I do today????

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
