There is nothing wrong with you. Try the following:

1) Tracking your Calories and Macros (Fat, Carbs, Protein):

  • Carbs - 25g
  • Fat - 35g
  • Protein - 135g

2) Increase your vegetable intake with no starchy vegetables (Cucumbers, Spinach, Kale, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Lettuce)

3) Drink 64 oz of Water. (When you feel hunger, drink 8 oz of Tea)

4) Be mindful that it may be head hunger and physical hunger. (This is where the tea will help).

I just discussed this with my RD. And she suggested what @Sleeve1stFitNext said. She said introduce texture and Fiber while keeping your quantities normal for your time frame of surgery and food progression.

Mine is supposed to be 1/2c volume. She said right now for me it's volume. At 2 months, you may be by weight. But instead of soft foods, go for normal food textures. Take the tiny bites, track everything, eat slowly, chew like hell, don't add liquids until your pouch is empty.

It's made all the diff in the world with satiety and portion control! Hope it helps!

Are you keeping a journal of what you are eating? If not you should. The journal could tell you howuch Protein, carbs, fiber, .... You are getting.

I use an app called MyFitnessPal. It has a desktop/web version. The app can use a smartphone to scan a foods barcode in, and it will 99% be accurate. Also has a search function for it's databases. You enter your serving size. Also tracks Water, weight and physical dimensions. FREE. Paid version let you customize meals and goals.

Increasing vegetables can fill you up. I would oftentimes put a little virgin olive oil in a frying pan with broken up cauliflower, seasoned with a spice and fry it until it was soft and slightly crunchy.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
