I was a self-pay patient. Is the surgery, fills, and travel expenses (airlines tickets) related to surgery tax deductible?

Surgery, fills yes

Airline and any other expenses no.

My recollection is that it's not a straight "above the line" deduction. Your medical expenses have to equal a certain portion of your income before they become deductible. I don't know what the current percentage is, but when I was in school (a million years ago) it was around 7%.
