What's your goal weight? My surgeon didn't give me one, though maybe we will talk about it at our appointment next week. I just picked something, though I'm not sure I want to be that weight if I don't have curves and an apple bottom.

I am 5'2 with my shoes on! I just had surgery though on 2/9. My goal weight is just something I picked which is 140. My surgeon and his team don't have a set goal weight besides the one I told them.

*raises hand* here! I started at 213 and I’m now 176; surgery was jan 17th 2018. I didn’t set a goal weight either and my surgeon didn’t mention anything, I’m just going to keep going until I feel healthy and in a good BMI range.

I'm 4'11" and my surgeon didn't give me a goal weight, but 135 is swimming around in my mind. I have an appointment Wednesday so will have to ask what they think.

The doctor told me like 130-135 due to my height. My personal goal is 165

I’m 5’. Started the process at 199 and gained a few pounds before I was sleeved. BMI calculators say I should be 110-115, but I remember when I was in my mid 20s wearing a size 0, I weighed 125 and I felt too skinny. So I’m thinking 130 is a better point for me. But, I know that I will be carrying several pounds of loose skin that I didn’t have back then, so perhaps 135 will be a better fit (After 2 babies and hopefully a 70 pound weight loss, I am expecting my belly to look like a shar pei and will be going for plastics as soon as the doctor clears me.)

I was 5’3 most my adult life but apparently I have shrunk lol to 5'2 so maybe i need to make goal a little lower. i made mine 138 based of normal body fat percentage. but will keep evaluating as i go.

I am 5’ and started at 200.5. I am currently at 167. My goal weight is 120 but my surgeon said that I could go even lower than that because I am very small boned. I am thinking that might be too small.

Lol my doctor told me i was big boned with broad shoulders . lol i of course though of the stereotypical joke in my head of is that another way of saying i am fat lol. I all seriousness i am abit muscular with hundred twelve pounds lean muscle mass. So even though my goal is 138 and apparently 5'2 and no longer 5'3 i will keep evaluating as i go.

That's funny, my doctor never discussed a goal weight with me either. He just pointed in a green section of healthy BMI numbers for my height and said this is where I should be. LOL. Maybe they do this because it does vary so much from one person to the next and also to put the reign in our hands. :)

I wish I did have bigger bones. Before I put weight on I used to hear jokes such as you look like a stick figure or I could break your bones like I twig. I never thought those were funny even though people around me would laugh. That is one reason I do not want to get below 120. I don’t want to look like a stick figure again.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
