So I'm 2.5 weeks post op and traveling for the first time today. Business trip, pretty easy one, but still not ideal. I've been really weak and easily exhausted for the past week. I'm anxious about getting through the airports. But I figured I'll just take it slow and give myself plenty of time. I'll be testing out restaurant food for the first time as well. I'm on purees, but have tested a few soft foods (w my Dr.'s blessing), and I seem to have a stomach of steel, Vitamins and meds are the only thing that upsets it.

I'm looking at this as a test for next week. I'm on a week long business trip, with my boss morning to night. It is a busy week that includes seeing a lot of customers and associates, dinner, drinks etc.. Really nervous about my energy level :(

In some good news, looks like I broke my week long stall! :)

Two weeks post-RNY as of tomorrow (March 1). Down 20 pounds since surgery day. Halfway through the two-week puree diet, and I hate it; having trouble getting in enough liquid and as many meals as they want me to get in, because if I eat/drink as much as they want me to, I feel (uncomfortably but not painfully) stuffed all the time, though that's gradually improving.

Mostly pain-free except random sharp pains from the scar tissue forming under my stapler incision, which my cousin (who had the same surgery several years ago) said happened off and on for her for nearly a year. Going to try driving tomorrow because I want to get out to see a movie this weekend; only concerns are getting in/out of the car and whether the seatbelt will cause any pain on my incisions.

Hello! Im post op day 9. Got sleeved on 2/20 and the first 4 days I thought I had made a mistake with surgery. Tolerating more liquids now and feeling a bit better overall.

Starting weight- 325 (12/1/2017)
Surgery weight - 295 (2/20)
Current weight- 281

Welcome to the sleeved life! I think we all regret it at first with the pain we endure but I’m almost three weeks out and it definitely gets better!

I was sleeved 2/12 and still experiencing midsection pain. It’s pretty sharp and constant. Happens when I’m stretching, bending and even when I’m just been sitting too long. Really annoying and frustrating. I’m going to see my Dr. this coming week. My incision are fine but that damn pain is keeping me down.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
