Where are these trolls coming from?

I see your point but I would hardly refer to that as calling names. It was merely bringing an issue to someone’s attention before it escalated any further. A few persons were obviously unhappy with said responses. Let’s all be friends.

Fair point! Wasn’t intended to be a slam on you, I apologize. Just wondering why she rolled her eyes at you and didn’t answer me.

Yeah I agree with a couple women. Scrolling through this thread I was taken back a bit by your tone and "positivity" you are spreading so I had to comment. You asking "have you been to the gym today?" Or telling people to be productive...that tone isn't a positive one in the way you ask. It's abrasive and is meant in a hurtful way. Let's be honest here.

Also, it seems that you agressively respond to anyone who has a differing opinion than yours or calls you out on your tone or responses.

You putting people down is not cool. The people that commented who found you to also be aggressive also had several people who liked their posts which means they agree too.

I'm just a little confused and taken back by the arrogance and aggression in your comments to people.

As I'm wrapping this comment up, I'm thinking about how you are going to spread positivity in your comment back.

I'll answer your positive questions anyways...

-No, I did not go to the gym today.

-I did do something productive today. I productively ate a taco that was effing delicious and I'm gonna walk my ass around a little later.

stay golden. :)

The only person that took offense to that comment was you. I ask EVERYONE if they have been to the gym. Are you new? Haha I spread positivity. I remind people why we are here. Not to bash and assume. But to help. So, did you go to the gym today? [emoji4]

There’s a lot of back and forth on this subject. I think what you’ve posted says a lot about you. Not so golden, Barbie. And, the backpedaling explaining that when you ask people about the gym it’s positive. C’mon, you’re being passive aggressive and you know it.

I have a Bachelor of Psychology degree. Don’t try your psycho-babble on me.

Sigh

This seems like a lot of personal attacks on a person no one on here knows

Text on a screen doesn't always indicate tone IRL

And that's a two way street

There is always the option of not responding , blocking or even reporting a post that is unfavorable

Oh you did! Not surprised. I remember you telling me that you were eating Taco Bell and drinking soda in my inbox a few weeks ago. Enjoy your tacos babe [emoji6]

Denmark, Norway, Sweden,Finland and Iceland.

Trolls are Scandinavian in origin.

Ever notice how people who have lost their favorite coping vice....and are really freaking hungry...can be really really...bitchy? And also really touchy and reactive about other people who they perceive are being bitchy?

Hell, I'm guilty of it. Probably of both. Sure don't mean to be.

I'm not pointing fingers at any particular party....just something I've noticed. People get extra angsty and on edge when they're stressed and have one of their main coping mechanisms missing.

This whole adventure has tough moments you don't expect. Emotionally difficult spots that might show up as fangs instead of tears.

Something to keep in mind.

PS...if anyone asked me if I went to the gym in real life, I'd probably smack the **** out of them. If they're not a close friend whose kind intent I was certain of...without the context of real love and support....it's a rude question. Just sayin'

Very true.

There's also the option of a bunch of people saying,,, knock it off, you're being annoying and rude. LOL

And it's all fair game.

Trust me. I know this. LOLOLOL

Indeed

but lately I've been getting hella notifications (which I am disabling shortly) about posts I participated in and im excited to see the helpful and encouraging words ...

Instead everyone seems to be looking for a fight , and on another post someone was literally trying to bait me into an argument "conversation" ?

I'm just baffled as this forum felt like a safe zone and it has quickly turned into a battle ground

Hungry sore people are ornery. It sucks to be fat. It sucks to completely redefine your relationship with food. It sucks to wonder when the scale is gonna move again after you've had your stomach cut out and are following instructions to the letter. So many things. There are a lot of legitimate reasons people are angsty.

BUT....You're right that people should do their best to be civil and conscious of other's feelings....particularly on the main board where we exchange help and information.

To me...this thread is a rant and belongs on the rant board. It's not informative or helpful...it's just a rant about perceived "trolls"...which is as subjective as it is pointless. The rant board would be a good place for it.

It’s been like that for a while, interesting actually like we’re not all on here for similar reasons. I literally laugh at everything because in real life it would be a different situation [emoji4]

Please read this again, GoldenBarbie.

Note where KaKatLady answers your questions...with a guess she admits is a guess...

And you're rude as crap to her.

KaKatLady is 72 years old, and she's harmless. When you pissed all over her...and AGAIN took a piss on her with this "troll" thread...it did not endear me.

I think you owe her an apology.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
