Any March 2018 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm a month and some change out from my surgery and I've started my selected solids diet with Protein Shakes of course. I have been noticing a pronounced dislike for the texture of food. The smell of food is amazing, but as soon as it hits my mouth, any food, it makes me so nauseous. It's almost repulsive. liquids are fine. Solids- not so much. Has anyone experienced this?

I'm around the same stage you are and yeah, experiencing something similar. The first bite or two is pretty good, but then it's like my stomach and mouth team up and override my nose and I lose all interest in eating and feel something similar to nausea. It's very annoying, but I guess it also ensures I don't overeat?

My nutritionist says I may just have OD'd on certain flavors during the pureed phase. But I had some zoodles and bolognese tonight and it was pretty much the same - liked the first couple bites but then meh.

Yes! Exactly. A bite or two, then I'm done. Disgusted almost. What was your nutritionist suggestion?

I can't believe I FORGOT that I could switch to soft foods today! I had my normal deal and I was at an appointment and had an epiphany that I was allowed to switch today and hadn't. I am very excited and I guess this is all becoming second nature to a certain extent. Now if I could find a complex Vitamin that doesn't make me sick and break my stall I would be doing alright.

What a nice Friday. :)

Here a pound, there a pound, everywhere a pound pound! Keep watching your diet, get enough exercise and the chicken fat will keep melting until you can fly straight and true. Me I'm like the dodo, no lift power and about to become extinct.!🐾

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
