Aussieslady ---things did not turn out well, read my topic" Change Your Hospital", I was original poster on it. I am a soap opera and a cheap, non well- constructed one at that. I could consider not living anymore but I'm the wronged person here, so why punish me? Let my persecutors be struck down instead of me. I've never cried down a vendetta on someone but does anyone have a spare Uncle Vito I could borrow?

My liver shrink diet starts next Friday. I know this sounds sooooooo bad but I’m gonna pig out for my birthday this weekend. I should be getting mentally prepared because everything is about to change. My last birthday getting chocolate wasted lol.

Is there anyone out there ready to brave the Winds of March or the Showers of April just to get your surgery? Any one share the same day?

Hi Guys, a temporary Detour in my weight loss journey but I vow it will not be a roadblock. Still trying to make March-April even May although I don't want to wait that long. Anybody that wants more of the story check out my Change Your Hospital posting, I will not let the happenings embitter me. I am the same kakatlady as always, friend to all and a dog gone sweet person, if I do say so.

Oh yes. I started it February 20th. It appears to be one of the more strict ones out there. I am allowed 5 Meal Replacement shakes a day (Boost diabetic only actually) and Water. I wish I could say differently but it’s been challenging. I’ve lost about ten pounds though so that’s good. Sending you strength as you start yours!!

I'm only allowed 2 replacement shakes a day (I've been going back and forth with Atkins and premiere) with a lean cuisine for the first 7 days. The last 3 days is a clear liquid diet. It does feel amazing losing weight before! 10 pounds is amazing! This whole process has been very challenging and long. I'm glad I'm almost at the end of the tunnel. It sure has changed my eating habits and not to mention my portion size. Before my pre-op diet, my friends wanted to have a party and have great food as my "last meal", I only ate half of taco and felt sick to my stomach. I couldn't even enjoy the piece of cake I had. :( The chocolate Protein Shakes will have to do now. lol

You will be in my thoughts and prayers as we start this amazing journey together! :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
