January 2017 sleevers

Recommended Posts

Nothing really new to report on my end. Did the low carb thing again and didn't really see any changes. Back to the usual diet again. Don't think I'm going to see the scale move anytime soon unless I can get my not as big as it used to be ass back outside and walking on a regular basis. It's in the mid 30s today so feels like a heat wave! Hoping my upcoming job change will see me being more active again and help get things moving.

Keep it up. Don’t give up.

Let’s try to check in with each other on this thread at least once a month. This is a life journey. We can do this [emoji1434][emoji1434]

Yes let’s check in!!! We all can do this! I know I need to focus more on that last 20 pounds. I have decided to take it 5 pounds at a time. Increase my fluids and start walking.

Two weeks to go until I start my new job. Hoping that since I'll be away from the desk more it'll get me to help being more active. My body is in love being at 235 lbs and doesn't want to move away from that for whatever damned reason. Driving me insane! Spring is on the horizon and ready to put this damned winter behind us to get back outside and do more.

Doing good here. Down about 85 pounds since surgery and about 120 since I started my WLS journey. Really wanted to hit 225 at the one year mark but didn't happen. Hoping with an upcoming job change that takes me away from a desk job to being more mobile that will help spark things again.

Got off to a rough start after surgery and the first month was hell, but pretty smooth sailing since then. It is hard to believe how quickly the past year has gone. Been a fun ride!

Awesome job!!! Keep it up. The goal is within reach. Good luck with the job change.

Surgery January 11th 2017

HW 138 kg (304lbs)

SW 127 kg (280lbs)

CW 75 kg (165lbs)

Love my life!!! I have gotten so much more energy. No food is of limits (some food is off limits sometimes). I have switched from the wish to become smaller and less towards working to become more. I have found an amazing bodypositivity community out there that I believe will help me maintain this positive world view :-) Self love is so important.

Finally broke the 100lbs mark. Down 102 and still going. Working out 6 days a week 1-3 hrs a day depending on the classes that are offered. Trying to increase Water intake. I’ve never been able to do a gallon a day. Still doing low carb but have add more carbs to my diet. Doing Herbalife shakes , teas and liftoff tablets for energy. Starting taking Ginko Biloba for metal alertness. I feel fuzzy brain at times. Did Iron infusions back last summer have been doing pretty well since

Hey there! I found your pictures to be very motivating. I had my sleeve done October 2016 and lost 65 lbs initially and have gained about 15 lbs back. I know I am not doing what I should be doing. I had an gym knee injury after already have my ACL replaced that kind of threw me off my journey. My goal is to lose another 35 lbs. I see you are doing the low carb or no carb thing and I was thinking about that myself. Do you mind sharing some tips, what to eat and what not to eat? Whatever you can share is appreciated. I just need to find my groove again so I can finally meet my goal! Thanks in advance!

Just Checking in with you all. Summer is here! How is everyone doing in their journey? I’ve stayed the same haven’t really lost or gained just maintaining. Still going to the gym 5-6 lx a week. Have fallen off a few times with eating breads, haven’t had sweets im kinda afraid they will make me ill. I’m at a stall but I haven’t been as strict as before. I find I can consume more which I don’t like. Lol. I’ve been taking collagen powder to help with loose skin, anyone else try this?

I am enjoying life. I am stabilizing on 63 kg loss and a healthy weight between 75 and 80 kg. I train 3 times a week and use my bicycle for transportation. I have incorporated all foods into my diet and I'm working hard on accepting my body and loving everything it can do <3 I have worn shorts and bared my jiggly leggs to the world :-D

Vacation was amazing had a great time. I wore shorts and even a pair of white pants that I haven’t done in years. Came back have had kidney stones ( again) then started having knee problems so had to cut out a lot of my workouts but still trying. Going to Physical therapy for my knee so hopefully back at it soon. I’m up 6 lbs since all this and I hate it. Hoping it’s from Fluid on my knee and steroids. Still trying to eat right How is everyone doing?

Since coming back from vacay I suffered knee pain later finding out I have a torn Meniscus and I had surgery Dec 2018. Still having pain and trying to slowly get back in gym. My diet hasn’t been the best and can’t exercise as much as before. I have gain 8lbs since surgery and can’t seem to lose it. 😢 feeling discouraged for the first time since my sleeve .

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
