Gastric Sleeve surgery done on 1/16/18

Hi Everyone,

Came home yesterday after spending the night at the hospital. Today was quote painful especially on the incision site ..which am assuming is normal. My question for the forum is that..I didn't have any has pains and I have not had a bowel movement. Is that normal? And I've not been able to consume the 4 oz every hour as requested. Anyone else going thru the same?

Congrats! On your surgery! I was having the same problem with the water intake as well and i still have not been able to drunk the required amount as of yet and I am 2 wks post. Bowel movement will come maybe 3 days of being home I was required to take Mirlax to assist with the process since I was not eating food but rather on the liquids.

FOR THE BEST!!!![emoji173][emoji173][emoji173][emoji173]

Hi, surgery was 1/12. My first bowel movement was after 4 days. I can only drink 2 ounces every 3-4 hours. Have lost 15 pounds. Good luck to everyone!!!

I know it’s hard but drink that water. I passed out yesterday and had to be taken to the ER by ambulance. I was dehydrated with a very low BP. My surgery was 1/18 and today I had my first watery BM.

How are you doing now?

How are you doing now?

I’m doing better, but it’s still a struggle to get all my liquids in. I’m getting about 11 oz water, two popsicles, and 8 oz of protein shake. I don’t have much pain around the incisions, but I do have pain from drinking water. And walking up stairs takes every last bit of energy I have. But on the bright side, I took a shower!!
