February bypass buddies?

Just got back from my final appointment with the surgeon. Received a date of February 13. They will submit my information to my insurance company, but I have no reason to think I won't be approved.

Looking for any buddies February and/or surgery day twins.

Hi everyone!

I haven't been very active here, but I want to jump back in. I'm just about 8 weeks out and i'm down 38 pounds since surgery. I feel like I've hit a bit of a stall, but I keep going:) What's everyone eating these days? I feel like all I eat is chicken, ground turkey, and protein bars. I need to mix it up!

Congrats to everyone on their weight loss. Keep up the great work!

I forgot to do my stats for the week! Derp! I'm down -8.2lbs this week. It's about dang time. Right? The doc put me back on diuretics and took me off one blood pressure pill. So still on 2 BP pills, just different ones and the fluid really came off! I feel good, but really tired--especially in the afternoon. Not even the vitamins are helping out? Dunno...

Surgery: 7 weeks ago (-24.4lbs) (-1 1/2inches off waist)

Forgot to post yesterday..... hope everyone is well.... hardest week of my life, I kind of have been bad about liquid intake and protein intake and it’s kicking my butt. Probablly why my body has slowed down on weight loss.

STATS:
HW: 298lbs
SW: 262lbs
CW: 231lbs
Total lost: 31lbs since surgery and 67lbs since my highest

S/p RNY 2/7/18 (64 days out). Idk I feel like I should have lost more... any advice on that.... then I think about it and I’m going down steady so I am okay with that as long as I go down... I can def. tell a difference now especially in clothes. I was a size 22/3x or 2x and now I am a size 16/XL or L. I am losing more volume which is weird that it won’t show in my weight...... Aqua fitness here I come.... everyone is doing great so happy to hear everyone is positive and motivated.... can’t wait for summer time.....

Question: what’s your fav thing to eat? Post me some recipes I am in need of a change up too.... lol

I'm eight weeks out today, and this morning I got curious and decided to look back and see what my loss has been week-by-week, and lo and behold, I spot a pattern!

  • Surgery: 413
  • Week 1: 403.4 - down 9.6
  • Week 2: 387.6 - down 15.8 since Week 1, 25.4 overall
  • Week 3: 381.6 - down 6 since Week 2, 31.4 overall
  • Week 4: 379.8 - down 1.8 since Week 3, 33.2 overall
  • Week 5: 378 - down 1.8 since Week 4, 35 overall
  • Week 6: 372.8 - down 5.2 since Week 5, 40.2 overall
  • Week 7: 371 - down 1.8 since Week 6, 42 overall
  • Week 8: 368.6 - down 2.4 since Week 7, 44.4 overall

I would MUCH prefer to have two good weeks followed by one slow week than the reverse, but at least it's still on a downward trend. These less-than-two-pounds weeks are really frustrating!

I'm sorry you're struggling. I feel this same way too and I had surgery about 2 weeks after you. Why not do a week by week show like Misty did? You might see the losses better? Also, what are you eating in a typical day right now?

Here's my weekly report since surgery 2.20.18 (loss of total -24.8lbs since surgery):

Week 1: +0.4lbs

Week 2: - 7.4lbs

Week 3: -3.4lbs

Week 4: -1.4lbs

Week 5: -3.6lbs

Week 6: -0.4lbs

Week 7: -7.2lbs

Week 8 (Partial): -1.8lbs

I don't know about you, but I've never lost this kind of weight per week. Thanks Misty for hilighting this as a tool!!

I'm trying to focus on that, as well, because even though these "small" loss weeks are super frustrating, it's still better than I ever did before surgery.

I don’t have my weekly weigh ins. I don’t want to get devasted so I do measure myself and have been since March and I have lost a tremendous amount of inches. I am overall happy with everything but I do miss my caffeine. :) everyone tells me I’m shrinking so if people notice it’s a good thing.... you are doing great fluffy I am going to have to start calling you barely fluffy lol

If you're shrinking, then that's even better. the scale lies! LOL. Congrats! ((hugs)) I drink decaff all the live long day. No probs as of yet. Iron Will likes it just fine. :)

Wednesday Weigh In! How is everyone doing? What is the latest in your life? Share an NSV!

Hope all of you are having a great week!!!

(My NSV is that my tape measure is down 1 inch since the beginning of the month and I can feel my ribs! :) )

Pounds lost since surgery.

How you're doing now--any major events, milestones, brags!!!! We wanna hear from you guys. We miss you!!!

Happy Hump Day!!

You're totally the unofficial Feb cheerleader! thanks for keeping us motivated!

Ive been missing these weigh ins because I'm complacently discouraged with myself. think its 3 weeks now and im dancing between 213-210

SD: Feb 20th, 2018

SW: 249lbs (or somthing close to that...so many numbers)

CW: 210...ish

GW 140-150 (although right now i just want to be under 200)

Back at work and doing well, i think work has me more on tract back on a kinda schedule, pushing protein this week really hoping to hit those goals and see if i can push though this stall.

Oh man! Stalls suck but stay the course. Now is the time to knuckle down and weigh and measure and be accountable for every bite so you're sure you're not the cause of it! ((hugs))

And congrats on your losses!!!! 249 - 210 = 39 lbs girlie!!! That's outstanding! It's about 4.875lbs per week!!!! Gimme! Gimme! I want! I want! I need! I need! :D

Congrats on the pound sweetie!!! Please let us know what the doc said, ok? You know, it's funny, this week I've and last I've been dragging trail!!! So dang fatigued. I just chalked it up to new BP med and lower BP, but maybe that's a trend for where we're at post surg? Thoughts?

Anyone else going through serious fatigue right now and surgery in Feb?
