I am 15th Feb :-) can’t wait. We should keep each other updated with progress. I would love to stay in touch with people having surgery on or near the same date. X

Sure thing! How are you doing on your pre-op diet?

Kick back and relax Darlin. Tomorrow is your big big day. Go to the hospital with peace in your [emoji173]. Climb upon that cart, lay back and relax. Anesthesia isn't that bad, it's so good anymore it's like a smooth nap. I've lived long enough I could tell you about the bad old drugs. Ether made you nauseated going to sleep. you usually woke up puking and felt like you'd had bad food poisoning and a headache too. Let your doctor do the magic, Bariatric surgeons do it often, they do it well and it's not their first rodeo. They want a successful outcome just as much as you do. When you wake up you may feel a little sore, but on the other hand you may not. One of my own friends told me it wasn't even as bad as the time her 5 year old head-butted her in the belly. Get up and walk as soon as you're able, you'll hurt less and it will,be rid of the gas in your belly sooner. Try to get fluids in, take small slow sips. Be good to yourself and you'll end up just fine. I'll be praying for you tomorrow. Let us know how things are going, you are important to us. God Bless.

Mine is the 14th! I’m so excited but nervous. Nice to be able to get on here and read everyone’s different experiences.

Anyone having their sleeves being done on Feb.14,2018? Are you nervous? I'm guessing I would have to start my 14-day pre-op diet at the end of the month on the 31st? I also have about 3 pre-op appointments to go to... I'm thinking about taking 11 days off.. Would that be enough or too many days off?.. hmmm...

I'm 2/13, good luck!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
