Non Scale Victories

  • Popular Post

I had surgery on 11/29 and I’m trying to not focus too much on the numbers on the scale or on my clothes.

My non scale victories since 11/29

Had to have a spacer put on my wedding ring

I’m wearing a coat I haven’t worn in 2 yrs

I got rid of my pre-surgery work uniforms

I’ve cleaned my closet twice already

What are your non scale victories?!

I parked in a tight parking space and was still able to squeeze out of my door, without touching the car next to me. In the past I would not have been able to get out of my car.

  • Sometimes NSV are the best victories! I've had quite a few in the last year but here are some: I can fit comfortably in the chairs in our conference room at work, the arms used to dig into my leg

  • etc. etc. etc.
    etc. etc. etc.

This week, my kid took off running across the park area near his after school care... and I ran after him and caught him. He was as delighted as I was. I don't think he had ever seen me run.

Five weeks post op sleeve and fitting into xl clothes. Feeling much more comfortable in my own skin. Looking forward to many more victories!

So good right. I’m down 2 inches the last two weeks. Yea!!

I have a bit of an annoying NSV.

I keep getting my kids clothes mixed in with mine because now my oldest and I are wearing the same sized shirts and work out shorts and stuff...

I climbed 10 flights of stairs in 3 minutes without stopping. I did this twice! Afterwards I did interval training on the treadmill for 15 min with squats then 40 minutes on the weight loss interval training program level 10 for 40 min on the elliptical. :D

AND on the reverse Ohio lists your weight and height on fishing and hunting licenses, I was selling a guy a hunting license at Wal-Mart and he asked why? I said "IDK maybe so THET can identify, the body?" Just a little info on this lovely Tuesday morning!?

Mine is that all my clothes are to big again, after buying new ones only since the beginning of summer. Good news is its going to be fall soon, so more buying new clothes at a smaller size!!! Yeah started at size 24 and now im in 6 and 7.....nice!

I went shopping Saturday and bought a pair of size 20 jeans! Before starting this process, I was a solid size 28. Day of surgery I was a 24.

I remember holding up the size 20s and saying, “no way are these tiny things going to fit big old me!” But those suckers fit like a glove!

One month post op and I can’t wait for the NSVs to keep coming. ?

Congrats!!! It's great and crazy all at once, isn't it?

Went shopping yesterday: I officially DO NOT wear plus sizes anymore!

A whole world of possibilities has opened up! It is exciting and overwhelming.

BYE Torrid, Lane Bryant, and the scary back corner of Macy's!

Oh, wow. I just realized - I'll be moving away from the maternity department! Yeah!

Guys - you may not understand - most plus sized women's clothes are located right next to maternity. In case we get confused, I guess.
