Feeling full 20 minutes after eating

Is it unusual that I feel full 15-20 minutes after eating? I am taking a full 30 minutes for my meal. The problem with this is that when I am full I am really really full - like uncomfortably so. Any thoughts?

I have felt the same way when I ate too much- just make sure you are measuring how much before you eat- ideally 1/2 c- 1c max..I didn't feel uncomfortable until an hour later.

If you're full at 15-20m, don't eat for 30m ;)

There's no need for the overfull feeling anymore.. When you get the signal to stop.. stop! Push the plate away, don't try to eat any more bites, and certainly don't say "Well I have 10 more minutes" and make yourself keep eating.

Exactly, exactly, exactly! Quit eating the SECOND you think you CAN (i.e. satisfied not stuffed) -- don't wait until you're overfull, be it at 15 min or 30 min. It took me months to get that straight. You'll feel so much better once you can master that.

Thanks guys - I took your advice and ate like 2-3 ozs of hamburger meat for lunch and I still got the lump feeling - not bad though. I can't believe how little it takes!

The problem is that I haven't felt hungry since my last fill so it is really hard to know when I am satisfied. I know - such problems!
