Welcome my new Windy City pal. Spring is finally here and the only thing warmer than the weather is your welcome here. How do I know you're in Chicago? I looked up your profile, not as much info as in a true computer, I'm using the mobile app on an Android phone. No shame in that. you'll see I'm in Mount Vernon Ohio 48 miles NE of Columbus where I will be having my RnY. When? Well the Bariatric God's have not favored me with that knowledge as of yet, could be as soon as next month. Until then and then past then also Baby I'm Yours. Any time you have questions, anytime you need a friend I'm usually, lurking nearby. Hope we can help you have a good experience.🌺😊🌸

Thank you for the welcome my fellow Midwestern friend!☺

I'm pretty new! I am just waiting for my surgery date. I actually missed the call last week and the scheduler was out sick after that. Hopefully I have a date on Monday. I'm incredibly anxious (my nerves are on overload) and excited! I live in NC and am excited to be a part of this group. [emoji173]️

Yep sure is, I've got my fingernails chewed off up to the elbows. So much hinges on that day, I keep trying to figure out what,i look the least dorky , dumb,or fat in. A skirt, a dress, jeans and a t-shirt, oh my they won't care in the least , but I want to look self-assured and confident. I'm sure I'll wear the closet rod out before I'm. done.

Hi guys. I'm still scouting the website. Have my first appointment in 2.5weeks time with a consultant about surgery. Had waited for ages for a referral. Wish I had this option 10years ago. Looking at life in a very reflective position this weekend and realised just how much of my life I have missed out on by being insecure over my weight. :( I am hoping and praying to the high heavens than my consultant can do surgery and I can get approved by my health insurance. 🤞

Hi! I am approved and set to meet with my surgeon to schedule on June 6th. I'm super optomistic that I could potentially have surgery before July.

I am a teacher, mom of one toddler girl, and wife to an awesome husband who is set to have the surgery himself at the end of this year.

I have joined for encouragement and to keep myself on task!

Hi! I am very new to the whole process. I have had my psychological eval done, plus the initial surgeon consult and dietitian consult all on May 30th. Since I am a teacher, everyone is working hard to get this done over the summer. :) Right now I am waiting for my primary doc to send my health records to the surgeon, and to hear from them about the next steps.

Luckily my insurance waives the 6 month supervised diet, but the surgeon wants me to lose 15 pounds. Not easy since I also have PCOS and that alone makes it super hard to lose weight. But , I gave up pop/soda and caffeine for just water.....a lot of Water LOL.

I am nervous/excited about the whole process.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
