I’m set for 1/9. My preop meeting with surgeon is next Thursday 1/4. Getting a little nervous. I’ve never had surgery before but I’ve got to do this. I’m so tired of being overweight. My nephew is getting married in May and I’d love to lose at least 75lbs by then. We’ll see.

I’m scheduled for January 29th... this is a revision from the sleeve to RNY.
Kinda nervous but excited at the same time! I hope we can all keep in touch during our journeys.

I'm doing a revision from sleeve to RNY too. My original sleeve was 5 years ago and I gained back almost all my weight.

I’m on day 3 of mine and am starving too. Lol. I’m really trying to focus on other things and remember it will be worth it in the end.

I work in Whittier :) Dr. Braverman is doing my conversion surgery. He used to be partners with your surgeon.

I totally agree with you Shelly420! I too am tired of the whole fat thing after 15 years of dieting. I'm looking forward to wearing a swimsuit and not feel fat, to not be the "fat friend", of being able to run and have more energy and stamina. I'd like to lose about the same as you by summer, and then keep on going. I've got a couple of friends who know what I'm doing and who support me, I've told the rest of my friends and my family that I'm having a hernia fixed (this is true too!!). Exciting indeed! Please do let me know how it all goes!!

I'm doing my own preop diet

Did you buy the pre-op food from him? I can't do these Fruit Drinks unless they're really cold. I'm starving!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
