Surgery the day before Thanksgiving and I’ve cheated some. Should I postpone?

I have only had a couple of weeks pre op. This weekend my only meal was not too healthy. Should I postpone surgery and get back on track?

How long was your preop diet and how much did you eat? My surgeon says the diet is meant to reduce the size of your liver so that the surgery is safer. There are a lot of people who only have to do it the day before, if at all. If you've stuck to the diet otherwise and this was the only mistake you should be fine. Definitely try not to slip again though, this close to the surgery date might not be a great idea.

Talk to your doctor's office. Be honest and see what they say.

Hey OP, @confusedturtle3 - did you get back on-plan? Surgery still on?

I have decided to reschedule for Dec 11 just to be on the safe side. And make sure I do this pre op correctly for a Safe surgery. 2 protein shakes a day and 5 oz meat and 2 cups of veggies meal. I have more time to do it right. Thanks everyone for advice.
